Good morning everyone.
Good morning!
Goodness, @GoJays , in a mood today, are we? Hahahaha!! Thanks for our morning giggles!
A whisper of snow out there that’s pretty much melted already, but not a pretty sight at 6:30 this morning.
Had a good meeting yesterday, got used to our mikes, then 8 of us to a greasy spoon for lunch which, as we know, have THE best food. It’s been years since I was there…since Hubby and we’re dating!! It’s not close to us now, but a fav of these gals, close to our meetings.
A relaxing day, hope it is for all of you, too!!
(something ticks me off about a couple PSAC gals smiling stupidly beside a strike sign…)
Morning all. @GoJays ...I feel like I'm just drifting through the days right now...trying to get back into the swing of things after being sick for so long.
Just drains you of energy, @danger_dan ….DD is into week 3 of this “long Covid” thing, tested negative but evidently might be another few weeks….get as much rest as you can, that’s the important part.
Hope you get well soon.
good morning sc peeps! Pretty good day so far, not a ton of items on my to-do list. I really just came on here to post some cuteness ( for @Lynn49 mainly ) after getting a chuckle out of this Doxie's " neediness " .

@walkonby if you like crunch for salads maybe consider indian papadum--you can puff them up in the microwave after a minute and then scrunch them up on a salad--about 30-40 calories and 2 or 3 net carbs? no oil added--if you like them?
QUOTE=walkonby;7235622]@flemeth you weren't too far off the mark. I WOULD have made them all fries except for this stupid diet thing, so instead I made thin julienne strips and deep fried them crispy.
Shaked off most of the oil when I lifted the basket out, then onto a paper towel bed. I use these in my garden salads as a replacement for croutons, DH puts some on top of a steak.
With the scraps that I couldn't make into strips I made thin slices and baked in the oven with just a drizzle of EVOO over them.

Yah. That’s a Doxie. Needy. Remember my telling you eons ago that our pupper, on a walk, will stop until either that person way over there catches up or meets up with her, to give her a compliment and or pet her? Yep. They love to be admired, cuddled, loved and spoiled. Must be why they’re such an attractive breed for empty nesters….we need something to hug and spoil again!! They’re just like having a baby in the house again. Lol!
Thank you for posting, my Friend.
Maple Leafs? Don't even tune in....6-2 end of the 2nd. Flip to the Blue Jays game instead, they won't make you cry or cringe!!
6th inning, 4-0 for them, against last years World Series Champs!!
@alex78 cannot ty enough for your suggestion of using Papadums as my crunch factor in salads! I have never heard of them? I can buy them at the grocery stores I assume? If not I did find a simple recipe online and they sure don't take much in the ingredient department to whip up. Plus the bonus is they fit quite
well into my reducing diet, the low carb, high fibre and decent protein amounts work. The salt may be an issue with store bought ones, but I can lower that if I make my own.
good morning....THIS video is SO cool! watch right to the end though. Just ignore all the ooh's and ahh's from the deep sea crew. What a miracle underwater creature!
