Walks, when I saw the time post, I thought the very same thing before I opened you comment. Hope you are snoozing peacefully.
Well the "accidents" were not results of any kind of rage, Lynn- no dramatic stories to be told- I stubbed my "toe-beside-the-pinky" in a major way on a wooden chair leg- you know the one like you have- as I was going to bed on Thursday night. The kind of "stop-you-in-your-tracks" pain like I had experienced when I got my black eye from Sadie last February. But I just got in bed after I took an Advil.
Friday morning was such a rush to get down to Chatham that I didn't even think about it. Then when I took off my sock on Friday night- I saw why my foot was especially sore - beautiful multi-coloured and swollen toe. But they don't do anything for toes, so I just took some more pain meds.
Brother R, on the other hand, had had a fall as we went into church for choir practice on Thursday night and caught his finger in the doors. It was pretty bruised at the tip by the time we got home but he just wanted to put ice on it. (If you remember, he had dropped that weight on his other finger tip last year.) This one didn't have a break in the skin.
Then off we went to Chatham on Friday. He didn't mention his finger until we were having supper. Then, I saw that it was all swollen and bruised at the other end where it joins the hand. He would not go to emergency, however, and so we have dealt with it just with pain killers. Yesterday was a blur but we did go to the dance . It was like "old home week" for me as I met MANY of my old colleagues and friends. Neither of us danced. We just boogied in our seats and chatted with friends. The music was spectacular! These guys have played together since high school and are now mostly retired. Such talent and enthusiasm! And all songs us old fogies know!
Home by 11:30.
This morning -church and then play practice. (Five more practices until the production-yikes!) The play is about a Christmas Pageant that is a disaster redeems itself. I am hoping this is a case where life mimics art!
If Brother R's finger is still swollen, maybe BrotherB will convince him to go get an x-Ray and maybe even go with him.
Well, the alarm just went. I guess it's "Cats" where they sing...."And a new day... has begun"
See ya!Last edited by avoncallingu; Sun, Nov 26th, 2017 at 08:49 AM.

No @walkonby ...its all good but the car is in the shop now...unable to be driven..smashed headlight, front fender and a dent and paint scraped off the opposite side of the car. I just hope that this all goes smoothly and no hassles.

Hi, @redneck Charger! Nice to see you again, and good to hear you're busy...feeling better, I hope??
What a fairly productive day! Baked cookies with GS, then when he went home I printed out two YuGiOh t-shirt designs for him and they turned out absolutely perfectly! And the two t-shirts I ordered for DD and her DH came today from VistaPrint (they had a sale, so each was only around $10...hers I designed with a sweet floral spray...on the top ribbon it reads: Kinda care., and under it, Kinda don't. It's her! ...on SIL's, there was a print of golf clubs, and I had them print: I didn't miss that putt. I made the putt. The ball didn't go in the hole. So I'll put them all in abox for them to open together..just some little joke gifts for some Christmas giggles.
@avoncallingu , what a miserable coincidence, that both you and your Brother smashed an appendage each! Has he received any other care for his finger? That really sounded nasty. I hope you're both feeling better today. The Grey Cup game is on later (did you hear that, @walkonby ??), so just rest, relax and cheer for Toronto. Without the jumping up and down, of course.
No dinner planned, so maybe we'll order something; it's been a busy weekend!
Toodles!!

Want to see those Mounties March that Grey Cup in!

Well, I got down here in time to see the Argos nearly let the win slip from their grasp. Luckily Calgary made a bad decision to "go for it" instead of tying the game and starting a new game in overtime, reminding themselves that they're the better team. "Bird in the hand", guys....they got greedy, the Argos capitalized on their unfortunate decision and won!
"Any given Sunday"....any team can be beaten, any tesm can win.
Good for them, congratulations!Last edited by Lynn49; Sun, Nov 26th, 2017 at 10:42 PM.

Going to order the perfect cooker. It's usually $35 - $40. Giant tiger flyer had it for $19.00 but on their website it says $10.00. I'm going to order it Monday morning with paypal. It does rice, pasta, stews, calzones, brownies, vegetables, eggs, omelettes, pot pies, meatballs etc. Good for my tiny room and supposed to be really easy to use. I've seen people on youtube making good meals using it, and other people not following the instructions making bad meals lol. My big boss fryer doesn't do things like pasta, rice or things like that.

Oh well, that perfect cooker is not available online anymore, it was just a few mins ago. Guess I missed out on getting it. I had to wait till about 1am to buy it. Guess I don't have to worry about it now lol.
