Chat-a-Thon 2017-18 Thread!

Morning crew.
Up well before the sun this morning, fired up the tractor and plowed the driveway. We got about 5 inches last night...which would have made driving down the drive way a little difficult.

Drive into the city wasn't bad, just slow and steady. Stuck behind snow plows on three different occasions, but here in one piece and with one less jug of windshield washer fluid!

we have SNOW!!! ( again ) , supposed to fall steadily until the morning. ugh!!!!!
Hoping everyone who drives home after work ( thinking of you @danger_dan ) today catches a break.
All my running around was done before it started....whew!

The drive home wasn't bad...we were driving the same the direction the snow was going. About half way home we pulled away from the snow and it was clear from then on.
Snow didn't start coming down at our place until about 9 pm.

You early birds ( GoodBoy, flemeth and danger_dan ) out walking and shoveling make me feel a tad lazy but I can't shovel atm, as the scraping noises directly under sleeping shift workers windows would make me extremely unpopular here.
So I'll sip coffee and surf for awhile since all 4 pets have been fed and petted.

oh geesh.. @Natalka I know you sure must be thinking 2018 is not starting off the right way at all. So very sorry to hear about Taffy passing. Wasn't that one Milan's cat sort of? He must be so sad.

It's going to be a day of weird weather, Alberta clipper blowing in.
I'm staying in, an occupational therapist is coming to see me this morning.
Husband went to see the dr yesterday, got some pain meds and dr wanted him to stay home today too.
Husband was much better by the evening yesterday, so that's good.

I was a little rough in the evening, because I had done so much with the physiotherapist. However, my husband massaged out some of the owies, which is always very helpful.

So, onward and upward with a new day!

Tampa Bay Lighting

For any of you who may have seen any or all members of the Tampa Bay lightning, coaches, players, staff, wearing what might at first glance look like a Captain America pin, it's not that.
It was designed for our Son In Law's cousin's son, Carson Belec. Our SIL's cousin's name is Ryan Belec and he's one of the managers of the Lighting...here's the story of that pin.
I'm hoping to have one soon, also.

Oh Lynn! After reading about Cooper's medical treatments and all that they take out of him I am sure praying that he enjoys a full recovery. The Lightening staff ( team, coach, etc ) has sure stepped up and embraced him and his struggle.

Oh, @walkonby , the whole organization has embraced little Carson! It's heartwarming to hear how they've all rallied to the Belec's side. Thank you for your prayers.

What the article didn't mention that Carson is a twin! His brother has missed him so much throughout his treatments.

Hope you folks out west get a good view of the Super Blue Moon eclipse.

I'm sending prayers up for Carson and also for a dear friend's little grandson who is fighting a battle against all odds in a hospital in BC. Emmett is 2 and suffers from a debilitating muscle disorder. He caught a bronchial bug and has been fighting to breathe. The drs. had to intubate him, although the we're hoping not to have to do that. The next 24 hours are critical for him.

All these little sweethearts who deserve a better break in life!

We'll chat tomorrow.

Chilly morning out there...supposed to get a bit of snow during the day today.

If you're up, you might be able to get a peak at the Triple Threat (Super, Blue, Blood Moon) Moon out!
I did take note of how large and bright it was last night as it was rising on our commute home...and this morning when I didn't need to turn the high beams on, since it was that bright out!
