Chat-a-Thon 2017-18 Thread!

Here later than usual, but I've been up for hours and hours.
Early this morning I made a dry rub for ribs and they are marinating in the fridge.
Continuing with the marinating theme, I cut up veggies and made the dressing to marinate them in.

Milan is coming for a visit this aft and staying for supper, thus the fuss with the food. I'll just have to bake the ribs late aft, and make some roast potatoes.

Well 4 hours on the phones for the Kinsman/Kinette auction!
Exhausting but exhilarating, too. I thought I would be able to come home in the middle but -no- too many phone calls. So Tootie was alone all that time. I managed to have the winning bid on a picture. Gretzki stick checking Yserman. Now how many times did that happen? My stepson works with Yserman and has had his picture taken with Gretzki- He is a hockey nut and his birthday is in 2 weeks. May just have to fly down to Tampa to give it to him...hmm?

But I am exhausted. I thought for sure that I would have a little "present" of some sort waiting for me but -nothing. Happy about that!

BrotherR stayed for the "Thank-you" meal but I high-tailed it home and am resting.

I would gladly do it again next year. This was their 64th auction.
Well, BrotherB and his family made it to their target of Batavia in New York State last night and will get into Baltimore tonight with boarding tomorrow afternoon. Happy that they didn't find the drive too taxing.Must get a little real rest. TTFN!

oh brother!! DH and I were taking in the Leafs game tonight and were thrilled to see them ahead 4-0 in the 3rd but golly those darn Penguins....they sure tried to waddle their way into tying it up.
Final was 5-2, but then we flipped the news on and here the results of the PC leadership election still had not been announced, so we waited and waited, then finally Doug Ford was announced the winner.

Some will be stunned at him winning I am guessing?

I feel like this ⛄️ snowman today , with snow flurries ..haha ..+ 3 so it was nice shoveling in warm weather today ..hope we dont see anymore snow until next winter lol

Had a wonderful visit with our son yesterday. He's just SO very happy to be back at work, doing what he loves. He's exhausted each day, just building up his endurance - let alone his calluses!

OMG! When you know it's important to get to sleep -I just couldn't. Awake until 2:00 old time. When the alarm went for church, I made that critical decision -no way! And then I slept until noon.

Puppie is fed and achieved her morning task. She, of course, doesn't set her clock ahead.

Sunny day -BrotherR 's computer isn't working so a trip to Geek Squad is worth countering the stress he's going through. Other Brother and family have reached the port so now I can relax.

Drive in was quiet and uneventful...it was WONDERFUL.
Office is really quiet too, lots of people taking time off for March Break with their kidlets.
