@GoJays, I've watched HTH right from the beginning, it's interesting how everyone has scattered, or so it seems to me. I can't believe how they have to drive over those semi-frozen spring lakes! And how they get photos of the wheels going over the ice from under water? Just terrifying to me how they have to risk their lives to make those deliveries. Did you get involved with Deadliest Catch, too? Got so that I felt I knew all the guys. Another terrifying calling, esp when that one boat went down with no survivors. They're a pretty tight-knit community and it hit them all so hard.
I shall be staying on dry land.Last edited by Lynn49; Sat, Apr 7th, 2018 at 02:35 PM.

Managed to walk to Independent grocers to use my $25 Loblaw gift card. I think I did ok with my $25.00. My knee was locking up a bit because of stupid pain but I managed to get there. I spent $9.00 to take a taxi home though with my groceries. Hope everyone is having a good day.

Lynnie, you're thinking of Ice Road Truckers... which is another show I will watch occasionally if nothing else is on. The Newfie guy has a potty mouth. I like Deadliest Catch, but for the narration. Mike Rowe used to have another show on Discovery called Dirty Jobs. If you ever get a chance to see them in reruns, give it a try.

good evening everyone. DH and I watched the coverage of the condolences pouring in from everywhere about the Saskatchewan Bronco hockey team. Such a tragic loss. They all had their hair dyed blonde, I am guessing it was a camaraderie thing, like when the baseball players did that in the All Star Games?
Mike Babcock could barely keep from crying as he spoke to reporters, he is probably doubly impacted since he is from there.
The photo of the crash scene was really tough to view. Everything strewn everywhere and the bus was mangled.
We are going to take in both the Leafs game and the Jays game now.....have a nice evening everyone!

omgosh yes, @GoJays....I watch that, too! Seems I can't keep the show titles straight. Oh, that potty mouth guy! I swear they bleep out every second word!! You and I could watch tv together anytime, Jays! Unlike @avoncalling and me when she visited us....I don't think we could agree on anything, right Avon?!
@walkonby, I just can't watch news coverage of that horrific accident...such a loss of beautiful young men and their potential I have enough trouble watching CNN now, because as you probably know, they have those animal abuse commercials. Stuff like stays with me for months...I can't process it. I continue to keep the victims in my prayers and continue to wish, hope and pray that Ontario will one day adopt the US highway speed limits, limiting the speeds of heavy haulers!!!!Last edited by Lynn49; Sat, Apr 7th, 2018 at 11:03 PM.

wow, is it morning already?? ha ha First poster wins!
Just a fluke that I am up really, I had a dream that I forgot my grocery list at home and was wandering the aisles of the store trying to remember what I needed.....so when I woke up I came right downstairs and wrote out my list for today and stuck it into my flyers in my bag.
It is probably still cold out too today, I haven't checked yet.
Only one of our teams came off with a win last night ( Leafs!! ) but it was so nasty windy and zero degrees in Texas that poor Stroman just couldn't find the strike zone.
Btw....wtf is up with that turd Rougneed Odor? He was posturing back to Stroman after each pitch by grabbing his crotch!
I am not a fan of his.

Good morning @walkonby since the shopping list is made I guess you will not forget an item but might add one on impulse. I like my major shopping to be done on Saturday so Sunday can be my lazy day. I did my last mega block shop yesterday.very excited about that.
Good of morning to all my SC friends here who is still sleeping or busy with other things. I plan on taking Thor for his walk and then I will be parked in front of the TV. Hope everyone have an awesome sunday

@walkonby I know ddp yoga isn't traditional yoga lol. However I am thinking about getting a yoga mat. Every stupid $15.00 mat I see on walmart.ca says not available in the Timmins store. I'm wondering if the interlocking foam mats are good for ddp yoga because they're also $15.00.
Oh by the way you were the first to wake up and I just woke up lol.

so.....I cannot seem to find something that used to be in the Games section.
It was a thread started by Boo Radley and it was titled Top Posters ( for fun ) or something similar.
It listed a daily, weekly and monthly tally of which members nimble fingers had them scoring on the top of the lists.
Anyhow, I cannot even find the thread now??
Weird.

https://forum.smartcanucks.ca/misc.php?do=topposters
It's under the 'Community' section, @walkonby , right underneath 'Coupons'. Click it and it's the last option
