Nicer start to the day today. Cool out...although there was a light dusting of snow on the ground. It should be gone soon, if it isn't already. High of 6 deg today. Supposed to go up to 17 deg on Thursday!?

Good morning, folks!

Getting ready for the day, got my huge cuppa coffee, Jenny burrito snoring on my lap, and watching the news on CNN. I just can't watch the CBC coverage of that bus crash, it breaks my heart over and over. I can't begin to imagine the heartbreak the families are enduring and will endure always.

We didn't get the snow that was predicted thank heavens, supposed to be +3 today, but the sun is shining, so in spite of a little dental appt this afternoon, all's well. Hope it is in your world, too.

seems like it is afternoon once again before I log in here. A busy-ish morning for me but all in all a productive one. @Lynn49 I am the same about the news coverage now on those young athletes from Saskatchewan.
The straw for me was seen on the news crawl about a case of mistaken identity.

So one family was now elated their son was actually alive but the other family who thought theirs had been spared in the crash, well he was the actual one who had died. I then saw their pics and man did they ever look alike.
The emotional pain of that.....I can't even!!

I've been plugging along on my healthy eating and so far so good BUT the happiest revelation came today while I was in Giant Tiger. I was at the cash and the dog treats rang up less than half price of what the shelf price was so I asked her to scan a 2nd bag in and I'd just " dash quickly " to the back and grab another.

What was I thinking? me dash?! I grabbed my purse and did just that, all the way to the back, snagged the 2nd bag and came back but it wasn't until I reached the till that I realized I was NOT out of breath and I was NOT sweating?
Hallelujah!!
Now that is progress! lol...

Three grocery stores, garbage put together for tomorrow and a visit to the dentist all out of the way for today. Dinner is in the oven, drinking a cup of coffee and sitting on my butt Just how it should be. I sound like a facebook update. Sheesh.

Hello folks!
Tootie is a cutie again- but I thought that I had some Benadryl to help her with the "itchies" but I guess it was my brother's. I spent the time she spent at the clippers running errands at the other end of the town -got the car washed, picked up a mat my brother needs, mailed a couple of sympathy cards. Shopped at the Value Village 30% off for oldies day and go 3 really nice baskets, a cake pan and a pink cotton kerchief for a certain "girlie-girl." I actually sent off a sympathy card addressed to "Any Resident of Humbolt, Saskatchewan." I am sure someone will get it and maybe pass it along. My stepson down in Florida acknowledged the loss by putting his hockey stick out as many around the world have done.
I'm tired now and taking a little rest before I sneak out for the Benadryl.
The day has been a really undecided one as far as weather. We've had nice Sun and then a flash of snow and then Sun again.

I think I need to eat a banana and take a headache pill and then vegitate for a while.
