@22hicks , I discovered that dust bunnies tend to wait until we finally get to them, so no rush, one day at a time, my Dear.
The same seems to hold true for laundry, dirty dishes...they're all beyond considerate that way.

I love booking.com!!!
So, DH's flight this morning was moved to 5pm this afternoon...then that one was cancelled.
So....yuck...he said he'd better get ready to drive down, made himself a big coffee, and as he was going out the door he said, "You know...if that hotel reservation was refundable..." and I said 'what the heck! Why not try anyway?!'
So he called booking, told them about all the flights here cancelled, still lots of fog, had to cancel his morning surgery, and by gosh, they cancelled the non-refundable hotel!!! They're the BEST!!
So, whew!! He doesn't have to make that drive! Yay!!!!
@22hicks ...I made you a sign..........

Oh Lynn, I am so hAppy that DH got everything 're-sorted! Has his surgery been rebooked?
I saw my Dr. this am and he pulled some things to get me into physio on Friday morning. He said that would help with the concussion symptoms. There is a young student who works there who is obviously on a tight budget.
Last time I went he was wearing dress shoes with masking tape holding them together. Today, he had on some very beat up boots. As I was leaving, I mentioned to the very kind nurse that if he could use some size 12 dress shoes that I have some that he could have.
I haven't heard anything so I guess that is not his size.
I asked my cleaning helper if she knew anyone who would want to buy a king sized bed. She said that she and her husband might be interested. This would be a great load off my plate.
Then I could 're-arrange my bedroom with my queen-sized bed.
Well, lots of elevator use that Sadie thinks she has to "comment" on.
I am going to 're-locate to the bedroom for a while.
Take care!
@avoncallingu, yes, he re-booked to July when we can both go down there and spend a couple half days poking around there then a nice leisurely drive home.
Our DD was trying to get hold of us, too to tell her Dad not to drive down there. someone had just driven up and the highways were socked in, total fog! The Angels were sure with us today, thank God!! I didn't want him driving down alone.
Great job, your dog getting you into physio on Friday, and you possibly getting rid of your almost brand new kingsize bed. I hope both work out for you.
Off to have a nice glass of wine with my Hubby, maybe watch a movie....we've both had quite the day!!
Toodles, my Friend!
Everyone...Sweet Dreams!!
Lynn usually it's not up to booking.com or expedia. When I worked in hotels I used to have expedia call and ask if they can cancel a non refundable reservation for a guest. They would give me reasons and I would usually just say yeah go ahead. The problem though is the hotel by this point has already charged the room to expedia's credit card so we have to find the charge and reverse it.
That's just what we thought happened...he first called the hotel, and was told to call booking, so he did, and when she put him on hold, we figured she was calling the hotel. Whatever happened, I'm just happy that non-refundable reservation was refunded! :)
He's still thanking me for suggesting to give it a try and saving him that awful, foggy drive.
I'm just thankful that the gal who works for booking handled it for us since the hotel didn't. :)

Good nite all sweet dreams!! Take good care yourselves
Newfiescreech, Nfld is the only province I haven't visited. I should put that on my "Canada 150" wish list.
Do any of you have plans to celebrate Canada's 150th somehow?
Well, we are basking in this fantastic weather- but people are catching colds. My friend had to cancel our lunch date tomorrow and my travel companion brother has got the sniffles and feels achey.
My step-son landed us some Spring Season tickets to see the Blue Jays play the Phillies in Clearwater. They are right behind the Blue Jays dugout up a few rows. Yippee!- on Mar. 9 in the afternoon.
He said we should get some shade there.
They are going to be doing some renovations on the floor below tomorrow which "will involve some jackhammering from 10:30-5:00"
Oh joy, I can't wait!
Perhaps tomorrow is the day I should take poor Sadie for a drive to the park! She's been reacting to noises so much lately!
Well, good night friends!
Sleep tight!
Morning all..I'm beginning to think 4.30am has a crush on me as I keep waking up at that time.
The last time I was consistently up this early was 12 years ago, when lilP was a baby.
