Morning all.
Took a sick day yesterday. Pretty sure the cooler weather on the weekend, combined with the rain, and me not heeding The Lady's words of wisdom to put on a sweater as I worked outside came back to bite me in the butt...sniffles, runny nose, and congestion did me in.
Any who, lots to catch up on both with our SC Family here, and work.
Still need to pack for next week...:S
@Natalka , hope you're feeling better today.
...and everyone else (I'm sure I missed a lot of you), stay healthy, get well soon, enjoy the day, have a wonderful day folks.good luck, farewell, see you soon (just covering all my bases, you get the idea!)
Have a good one peeps!DANGER

@avoncallingu : haven't you seen the timestamp on all of my posts lately? It's a work thing. Trust me, I wouldn't be up at that hour unless I had a really good reason. Money is a pretty good reason
@danger_dan : Tsk tsk. You are still young. You will learn to listen to your lady one day. But in the meantime, let's sit and contemplate what this little bird has unleashed on society.....

Good morning!
Crap night, lots of pain. My normal, plus the added pain at the infection site on my leg - it's a burning, caused by the silver in the dressing, but I know it works so will suck it up.
Cloudy day, supposed to be showers on and off.
Take care, everyone.
Someone out there has to have a Wacky Wednesday in my stead...

Hello and good afternoon lol. Anyway I was looking to buy a winter jacket around maybe $150-$200 in 2 weeks. Then I remembered a site with mostly urban clothes but a good selection of hoodies, jackets, t-shirts etc. It's in the us and pretty expensive shipping. However for the $200 inc shipping I can get 1 jacket, 2-3 hoodies, a couple t-shirts and a couple hats instead of just 1 jacket. I've bought from them in the past with very fast shipping. So I can't wait to place my order lol.
Anyway I hope everyone has a good day.

Good on ya for doing your research, @cabmonk . If you ordered from them before you're familiar with the quality, so no worries there. There are so many rip-off women's wear sites that have pictures of gorgous clothes, but then I do the "review x-site" and wow...it's an eye-opener. The tag-line "free shipping" is an instant warning sign...who legitimately ships for free?!!
Enjoy your new duds!

@Lynn49 Yeah I hear ya. Their stuff is pretty nice. They also have some really expensive stuff. I try to find their stuff on sale. Like a $70 jacket on sale for $20. I once bought a nice $150 jacket from there on sale for $40..

@Lynn49 here's a few ideas of the items in my wish list. The jacket is $20.00, the hoodies are $15.00 each, t-shirt is $24 and the hat is $7.00 down from $25.00..

Good morning @GoJays and all my SC friends who would visit here later today. Well it’s a busy day again for me tryim
Here today to catch up on everything that has to be done at home and do my Volunteer. Lots of new staff at the school along with new Students kids being away at home for the summer seems to forget all the rules at school. I would be needing lots of patience. Well off to walk Thor before it’s super hot. Have a great day all

Good morning folks!
@flemeth - thank you for your dedication in volunteering your help at the school! I am sure that the teachers and staff have a big smile for you when they realize that you are there to assist them!
Another early morning for me. It's "grief walk" day -for REAL this time. Then I get my untidy tresses cut and -um- coloured (I am informed that one doesn't say "dyed" any more.) Lastly, it's choir practice tonight. Maybe I will just go back to sleep.
Well, even the specialist endodontist couldn't figure out entirely what my mouth needs done, so now I am to have a radiological 3D image made at an un-OHIP supported cost of $240. BUT I think my other insurance will cover some of the cost -meanwhile, I will have to wait 7-12 days AFTER the procedure is done for results which will then be sent to the endodontist who will decide if HE will do a root canal or , in fact, send me back to my own dentist to do something ELSE! All in all, I figure I am stuck with this yucky thing and the discomfort for at least 3 more weeks!
But, I shouldn't complain when our good friend Natalka, who faces much worse challenges every day is always so brave.
Well, I am wishing you all a very happy day!
Isn't it "Thirsty Thursday " or "Throw-back Thursday?" So, throw one back and quench your thirst if you are so inclined.

@flemeth so nice that you volunteer at school. I did as well, through all of our son's elementary years.
Oh @avoncallingu ! What a lot for you to go through! Gee, that is a long time to wait.
PM Justin and 200 of his friends have been in the city for a Liberal retreat. Talk about fishing in an empty barrel! Our only liberal is Ralph from Regina.
They have been throwing around money like snowflakes fluttering down from the heavens, finding lots of time for electioneering.
The PM will be at my son's polytechnic today for a town hall. The trades are in a separate wing, so I doubt Milan will see anything.
Nurse will come to check on my owies later, and change my leg bandages. The pain from the infected site seems to have lessened some. The sciatica was really bad yesterday, and I am not moving great so far today either.
Showers again today, off and on, but altogether it's really not much rain.
Northern SK got snow, but we are not expected to.
Enjoy whatever the day brings you!
