Lol, @flemeth , our DD loves it also, and I'm the one who thinks it's tastless...I guess that's why it's always paired with stronger flavours..

Ok, this is 95% of what I am doing. Just have to clean off the table. My feet are killing me but kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms are very "presentable." SO clean that I don't want to have a shower!
The mover guy came and gave me an estimate to move less than 2 km down the road. GASP!
So March 12 will be the day.
Well, a bit more tidying to do. So fingers crossed that someone rents it today!
Hope everyone gets where they are going safe, sound and warm.
@walkonby - A very Happy Birthday to you! Enjoy!

GAH! What it takes to adopt a rescue cat here!!!! The paperwork, waiting for approval...not me, lol...our DD!!
If they don't approve someone who paid 5K to have their present rescue cat's broken leg fixed, then it's just ridiculous!!
They'd better be approved!!!
I don't know who's more frustrated, me or my DD!!

Yeah @Lynn49 it's supposed to be cold tomorrow here but not calling for snow yet. I'll still take my wagon to food basics but it would be nice if the wind they are calling for stays down a bit.

Lol, yep.
Their teenage rescue cat decided to jump from a kitchen chair onto a mini blind because we imagine that she saw a bird, broke her leg when she got hung up on the slats.
The vet here couldn't set it, so off to Guelph went the 3 of them, plus cat, to the animal hospital for more xrays, surgery, 2 nights hotel stay, cast, then home again.
5k.
I'm not going to complain about Jenny's 2k surgery in February.Last edited by Lynn49; Wed, Jan 30th, 2019 at 06:29 PM.

Good eve, all!
Husband just left. He came right after work, brought me two clean nighties and a bag of chicken bones - yum, I hadn't had any in years, they got way too pricey.
Milan called while husband was here with the news that he decided to take the place he looked at last night. He had casually started looking at places in the city, but figured he would probably wait til spring when university students leave.
However he came to see me last night, after seeing this one place, and it seemed to have everything he wanted. My husband will go with him tomorrow just to be the second set of eyes and opinion on it.
He wanted a basement suite, had a budget he was sticking to, and has been saving money in case there were overlapping dates, which is what he will have now.
He is really dreading having the talk tonight with the friends he has been living with. I told him to keep it simple and just outline the main reasons - it's too far from the city, their dogs drive him crazy and he is sometimes left to care for them. And, my number one reason on his behalf is that he doesn't have a door to his room. No door. Argh!
Anyway, I am happy for him. He has been away from us for five years, but this will be his first place alone.
Physio was rough, but I at least did it. I got a Dilaudid an hour before, but that made no difference, it hurt so so much to do everything, but I got standing three times, but barely made any progress with steps. I couldn't even straighten up all the way when standing, the PT said I was like an airplane taking off.
She said she knew I was hurting just by how I moved when I had to go from sitting on the edge of the bed on one side, to get to the other side.
Nurse will talk with Dr about upping the dose.
Yep, I most certainly was hurting. Got to have a bit of a rest before supper, though.
Nothing going on in the evening, I will read a bit. Shift change is 7:30, then they do report. Nurse does rounds to do vitals, then hopefully drugs by 9.
I try sleep around 10.
Hope you all have a good evening and sweet dreams!
Ooh, found out that my bed is an air bed, so this aft it got inflated to "firm" - I will see how that feels for the night. One aide said she didn't like to see me laying in a 'hole' - but I said that hole has been pretty comfy for sleeping!

hey btw, thank you all for your suggestions on how to use that Bocconcini cheese. I do agree with your DD @flemeth and with you too @Lynn49 .....it IS actually tasteless. That is likely because of not having salt.
We are used to enjoying extra old sharp salty cheeses here...like a Balderson's.
No matter, I was able to savour the enjoyment of the one serving I had by slicing all 3 little balls up into wee slices and sprinkling some No Salt ( a substitute ) and black pepper over them.
So strange....had just the one large meal today around 2 p.m. ( and truly there was a variety of proteins and my usual large salad. I am so done though..... too full to consider making anything else.
Feeling sleepy already too. @Natalka I hope the extra air they pumped into your air mattress does not end up causing you more night time pain. I feel your concern over Milan getting his very first place all on his own.
Our 2nd DS will be venturing out within the next year as well....a definite learning curve and there will be plenty of " firsts " for him to navigate.
We are always just a phone call away anyways.Last edited by walkonby; Wed, Jan 30th, 2019 at 08:26 PM.
