See how "out of it" I was?
Turns out that I think the freezing rain missed us, but I went to bed and am now feeling very much better. Took my blood pressure pills which had run out 3 days ago, so maybe that helps, too.
My stepson is in San Francisco this weekend watching the Bolts play the Giants. I told him to say "Hi!" to Kevin Pillar. So either he's watching the Rays or Kevin has taken up hockey! 😅
Food, maybe food will help my brain! See ya later!

Hi! I actually have my feet up after icing my foot while sitting. I do not put my feet up enough, nurse reminded me of it again.
Had two physio sessions today. Morning's was supposed to be 9:30, she showed up closer to 10, it was with my head therapist. Walked the length of the hallway, then transferred to wheelchair to go up to rehab on the seventh floor.
Did the half stairs twice, I think there are seven, both up and down.
Went on the other side to the standard size stairs and the said she wanted me to just do one. Wowsers, double the height seemed like a foot tall, geez it was hard and hurt lots, I pretty much hugged the railing on both sides as I got the one foot up. I wanted to try again, she said okay and then she stopped me at three. I said I might as well do five since I am already hurting so badly, so I did.
Well crap it was so hard, but practice I know will make it better.
She wheeled me back to my floor, then I walked all the way back to bed.
Had a cool down, iced my foot, washed up, then it was lunch.
Next session was 1:30 with an assistant, I walked to the therapy room which is past the entrance to my ward. Then went on the Sci-Fit machine first time at level 2.5 and did 12 minutes - def harder than level two.
I only made it walking hallway to my room then rode.
The ward coordinator came to see me with news the doc will do my knees tomorrow. She is a rheumatologist, so is experienced.
I am just hoping to have the same positive effect on my knees as last time. An aide said she got one of hers done recently and it made no diff at all.
Milan came yesterday, bearing Chinese food from a place new to us. It's Vietnamese, so some of the flavours were a bit of a crossover, in a good way.
Milan was happily surprized by my appetite, but gosh it was good.
Husband stopped by for a quick visit as well.
I am pooped so just vegging a bit.
I know you are all busy, take care and give your furry ones scritches behind the ears from me!

Gosh, wish I had those flowers to brighten this very dreary day. It's very grey outside my big window.
Hi, all!
My knee injections will happen tomorrow. Had a great talk with the Dr., who is amazing - smart, takes time, and staff says she gets things done!
I was already given my injection of blood thinner this morning, and the doc says it is just safer to do the shots without that other drug in me, so tomorrow I won't get the tinsaparin. Btw, everyone in hospital gets that drug daily, to prevent blood clots. They stop it once we get to a certain level of mobility.
Talked with this doc about more things, she had seen my x-rays and she wanted me to realize just how horrible my knees were. She is unsure of how well the cortisone will work because I am so much worse than last time, when they had worked very well. Also talked about psoriatic arthritis as opposed to osteo - she is a rheumatologist so deals with people like all the time. What a bonus for me to be able to deal with a specialist right here for two weeks! Usually ward docs are only here a week at a time.
She will consult with the last ortho I saw, because she doesn't understand the reason I was given for why I can't have knee replacements.
And for my psoriasis, she told me about the treatment she thinks I should be on, one which I have avoided for 20 years because it scared me.
This all gives me hope.
Sorry this is do long, again...
I just had physio, walked to the therapy room with one break, did 12 min at level two on the Sci-Fit. I couldn't walk back, but the PT said I did well.
I have had to deal with a minor bout of my Meniere's for the past 24 hrs. Last evening the nurse said my face looked grey! I was quite nauseated with ear pain off and on, as well as a little dizziness.
I haven't had it hit since last fall, and had hoped it would stay away whilst in hospital, but hoping it doesn't last much longer.
Everyone is saying I am not my usual perky self. That makes me sad...but better things ahead!
Hope you are all having some fun this weekend. My day's fun was having a shower, it reinvigorated me!

@Natalka , you may really be getting some place with this doctor, and having those questions answered that you've had must have been very comforting.
As to knee replacements, if you are considering having that done, please do only one at a time; I've seen others who've had both done at the same time in my physio appointments in the hospital and even the therapists shake their heads at why doctors would do that. Bad enough one leg is immobile, nevermind both! I don't know how people would cope at all, and even with my guardian angel care-taker Hubby, I know I couldn't do it.
Good luck, anxious to hear more about what she recommends!
Have a lovely weekend, Nat!!

Yes, Lynn, I can't imagine getting both done. One of my sisters, ten years older than me, is having one done in several months.
As we were getting our supper, an announcement came that there would be a moment of silence, to remember the Humboldt Broncos crash which was one year ago.
There were some players who had their therapy in the same unit I am now on, and some were up a floor on the rehab unit.
I tried watching the memorial, but it was not coming through well on my tablet.

Hello friends! Very tired. Chased around a bit and then helped clean up at the church. Had a bit of a challenge catching up with my brother.
One of the tenants here was leaving in an ambulance as I came back from walking Tootie. He's very active and involved around here. I didn't know he had medical issues.
Kitchen is getting organized.
Nice warm weather - 18° tomorrow.
Going to say goodnight.
@Natalka -I think psoriatic arthritis is what that nice golfer has. He advertises some sort of medication on TV.
I'm very happy that you have an expert rheumatologist as a ward dr. for the next couple of weeks.
Hope that your injections help.
All the best to all of you!

Lol...Phil Mickelson, @avoncallingu , and yes, I suppose he's a nice golfer
So, still no moss growing under your feet, Avon, but nice to hear that your kitchen is organized. No more boxes on your counters...nice! I hope your fellow resident is okay.
Time to snuggle with Tootie....watching and rooting for Michigan, we hope?

Still a minor few boxes on counter but they belong in the curio cabinet.
Couldn't stay up to see the game end- Michigan State needs a miracle at this point but, then, this IS The MADNESS.
Good night from sleepy head.

what a crock! one second left in a game and they call a foul on the team with the 2 point lead? oh brother, good thing I am not from Alabama or I'd really be upset!! Carry on with all the madness in the final game !!
In other news did anyone see that terrific kid from Montreal ( Poehling ) in his NHL debut game? He not only scored a hat trick but then made the winning goal in a shootout. Yeah Leafs lost but what a thrill for him and the team after they suffered elimination.
Not much of a demanding day here for me, which I will embrace! Poor Hamlet gets a tooth extracted on Monday though.....I am sure he will fight me all the way into the cat carrier, time to find that cat nip to get him in there!!
