Ok, I have to tell you, @GoJays ...one year we put booties similar to those on our border collie, Tammy. She patiently allowed us to fold over the velcro tabs on all 4 of them, then my DH and I watched incredulously as she took each velcro tab in her teeth, pulled it loose and pulled off each bootie!! Totally systematically!
She was a wonder!!
We tried that on Jenny a while back and she stood as still as a statue, like she does when DH puts her halter on her...not a single fur moves, not her tail, head, nothing! Also a wonder, but a more peculiar one!

Morning, folks!
Rain, rain and more rain!
Where are those "Duckies" I used to own that you could just slip on to your feet to make a quick run outside?
Anyone have a good video of "Dancin ' in the Rain?"
Trying to outlast Tootie who has decided that it's time to get up.
When she sees me with my tablet, she settles back down to sleep again.....usually.

Good morn!
Send some of the rain west! We got a little snow yesterday, so little that one could count the individual flakes! Hoping for this weekend, when our temps are going way below normal.
Still a bit of tummy trouble, hopefully just working the yuckies out. I am quite hungry, but am being very careful about what and how much I eat.
I think I finally have my meds schedule down pat, really hard to do with so many. Because of the doses, a pill organizer is of no help. In the morning it's the hardest to get them all down my gullet, there are 14 at 9am alone, plus oil and a med in whatever I am drinking. I just try to space them a bit, or I get nauseated. I start with the oil, because even though it tastes the worse, I have a cracker with it.
One of my great nephews from St. Albert is in New Orleans now, doing relief work. It's crazy to see pics of things still in horrid shape this many years after Katrina. A great nephew from Athabasca just found out he was chosen by the Rotary Club to do a student exchange to Italy for the next school year.
Hope you all have a Fab Friday!

Good morning!!!
What a wonderful Draft experience last night, and more to come at 1pm.
Other than that, (and who really needs more than that?!), it's quiet around here.
The "twins" at DD's house have learned to not only turn the bathroom tap on for a drink of water (and to sit in the damp sink), but now they decided that removing the top off the Keurig and drinking that water is acceptable. Such brats...
DD is picking GS up from school a little early today, they'll be off to the Avengers movie this afternoon and we're all anxious to hear what they thought of it. It's getting incredible reviews everywhere!
No news is good news, I guess, all's well here thank heavens, hope it's the same for everyone!!
Enjoy your FRIDAY!!

@Lynn49 - those are sneaky, clever kitties! Good thing they are so CUTE!
@natalia -that is wonderful news about your nephew! My brotherB 's friend went to Bolivia on a Rotary Exchange when they were in high school. It made a real impact on his life. He'd love to go back there at some point, to live.
My Avon order arrived. (Yes, I am ordering Avon now from a counselor here in Waterloo.) So my name should be "avoncallingHer "😊
Have problems to solve so I had better get on with it.
Any surprises in the draft, Lynn? My stepson didn't seem to be happy with something to do with the Bucks - or it could have been wrt the Colorado team. He's in Colorado this week.
Will chat later. Off to the clothing exchange this evening. Who knows what I will come home with!

Now remember @Lynn49 NO spoilers!! ( re: Avengers movie ) as so many of us cannot go to see it until maybe a week or two from now....when all the hype and crowds die down.
About the NFL Draft, yes you are correct last year I did delve into that world and found it quite tearful ( happy tears ) to watch.
This time I was distracted by 2 hockey games AND Thursdays are THE best night for tv, which involved scheduling the pvr to record some early and some after midnight all the while channel hopping watching some of MY shows in between hockey intermissions....oh yeah and I was simultaneously doing my cross stitch....ha ha so you can see how busy I was?
I was able to see The Good Fight, A.P. Bio, The Orville, Mom, Supernatural, and OMG! Gotham had the SERIES ( 5th season ) Finale last night!! ( takes place 10 yrs after Bruce Wayne has left Gotham ) A couple of the regulars were replaced...Catwoman for one as she needed to be 10 yrs older as well as Brucey.
It was a tad disappointing as a Finale really...but whatever.
Again...... actors who look so much like other actors drive me bananas!! That was the issue I had with the new Catwoman...her name is Lili Simmons ( never heard of ya! ) but the whole time I am thinking she is Erika Christensen from the old show Parenthood!
argh!!
I will say I learned one thing from the NHL Draft pick. It was the first time a pick was announced in Braille by Mo Gaba, a young blind Baltimore Ravens Superfan who is fighting cancer for the third time. He was invited to announce their 4th round pick. ( yeah so I cried about that poignant story)
The weather this morning was NOT nice....I almost got wet! ha ha

Hello folks! The wind will blow us away! Took Tootie for a "skirt the building " walk because the wind is so strong. I just check the way that the flag is blowing.
We are waiting in the lobby for someone to pick up another load of empty-yes empty boxes.
Then I am off to pick up my new Samsung 8 cell phone. Spent a good long time on the phone today to sort it out. Oh, I think that the person is here.

Happy Saturday everyone!!
It's new desktop computer time!! I very nearly tossed this one out the window yesterday (and to be honest, many previous days)...it takes ages to boot up, and even from "resting" it takes forever, and I'm not getting any younger. So we have a few in mind and DH is out scouting around. But ugh...to transfer everything, to get accustomed to a new one...but anything is better than this one which is 7 years old, so I guess it's time.
We woke up to a smattering of snow on the ground this morning but it's gone now and the sun's out, going up to +5 if that's to be believed. Better than all that horrible flooding that's happening in so many places right now!!
Enjoy your day, everyone!!
