Hello folks! Ah- the mention of cabbage reminded me that I found a jar of pickled red cabbage the other day -I think maybe at Giant Tiger. I used to love it as a kid. So I bought it and have been enjoying a trip down memory lane having chicken sandwiches with pickled red cabbage.

I bought some new eye-shadow today and the name of a lovely blue colour was "WhitSunday." I am going to leave that out there and see if anyone gets the connection.

Tried to get my PC financial- missing optimum points sorted today and although I got far enough to start "a file" I didn't accomplish much on that front-not for lack if trying.
Picked up my new glasses today and am quite pleased with them. Picked up a book I had ordered from a local book store.- A precursor to one that I had received as a gift and enjoyed so much.

Tonight I went to one of our twice-annual clothing exchanges. My friend organizes them. There are treats and libations and everyone brings clothing or books or jewellery that they want to recycle. Lots if laughs, chatting and getting new perspectives on things you might not necessarily buy. Then we each make a contribution to the "jar." The proceeds go to help some women's charity usually. Tonight it will be shared between the local Women's Sexual Assault Centre and also HopeSpring which is an organization that assists cancer patients-survivors and caregivers.

We have been doing variations of these exchanges for probably 40 years. Always lots of fun.

I actually came to the realization that I don't leave until next Thursday, not Wednesday-the gift of a day!

Need coffee...

Got in and turned my computer on as usual. I will normally do this and then head to the lunch room to drop off my lunch and get a coffee...but today I saw an email from the big cheese asking for some work...just spent a hour and a half reviewing and providing detail comments for some proposed alternatives to a storefront framing and glazing (glass) system.
Gotta stay on the good side of the guy who's signing my paycheques!

Warmer weather is slowly creeping in.

In a way I am glad DH did not discover it was live streaming on fb until after we had listened to the whole game, for sure I would have looked to see if we could have streamed it without having a fb account. Probably not though I am guessing.

Haven't done too much this a.m. ( yet ) only been up long enough to do the pet care, a bit of laundry folding and got a sink of dirty dishes soaking ( pfft! ) I'll get back to those suckers later. Guys have been on holidays this week, so once I am sleeping soundly it seems they take great pleasure in eating and leaving a whack of dirty dishes over the counters for me to find in the a.m.

Can't wait for those double digit Temps. My BrotherB posted a picture from the "memories " of 2 years ago showing him enjoying a libation on his deck. He's more likely to be enjoying a hot chocolate with his parka on today! Now, I am not asking for steamy temps- just nice little mid 20s for the next few months.

Meeting cruise buddies for lunch. Errands with BrotherR and other " busy-work " stuff.

Oh I hear ya but it snows here pretty much every April but people always complain geez snow in April. Yeah it snows every April here are you new. Or do you fall and hit your head every year lol.
