Always comes as a surpise to me, Cabbie! hahaha!!! Always hopeful, and like I mentioned, it was golf-weather last year....stupid white crap. Are your roads and driveways clear up there, too? Driving around downtown you wouldn't know there was still snow in the 'burbs' where everyone snowblows huge piles of the stuff onto their (our) lawns. That takes a while to die, unfortunately.

Had icy roads and sidewalks Monday and Tuesday. I found the sidewalks very clear Wednesday and today. So hopefully the crap is behind us lol.

We still have all kinds of snow here. It hasn't warmed up enough to get rid of it. Maybe tomorrow.

Jeepers, @GoJays , I thought you were part of all those spoiled southerners who don't have any snow now at all. Pretty depressing, isn't it?
I guess we're all watching the game.....

I placed my first order on overstock.com. They calculate all taxes, shipping, insurance and duty so we're not supposed to pay anything at the door. We shall see.
Has anyone else ordered from that site?Last edited by Lynn49; Thu, Apr 19th, 2018 at 07:44 PM.

Nope ^^
Still pretty cold here @Lynn49 . Only 3 degrees right now and the wind makes it very uncomfortable. And I'm out of wine Poop.

My care coordinator was here this morning for an hour, gosh she covers a lot of stuff.... mobility, body care and functions (nothing is private any more), etc. She gave me shtt for losing weight, but geez I have had this blessed cold for six weeks!
My PT has left, so I will be getting a new one. I really liked the one I had, but have hope the new one is okay.
Have a good evening, everyone!

Oh! Pass me your glass, @GoJays...I'll...um...I actually just finished a bottle I started a couple of days ago...quite poopy, actually. It's a girly kiwi wine, though...I'm not sure you'd like it.
Good thing I finished it then, huh????

Hello folks! We were jokingly talking about "ring of fire" earthquakes at lunch today. One of the sites that the government refers you to shows where all the earthquakes have occurred-their strength and timing. We thought that we really didn't want to think about it before our trip out west.
Then I read tonight that an earthquake had occurred about 8 pm this evening in Amherstburg- near Windsor. My sil and her family certainly felt it -they said that they thought the house was exploding. A call went out from a the police that a nuclear power station nearby had not been affected. And it had been shut down since Sat. For some reason. Holy moly - I'm getting out of here-away from the ice and snow and earthquakes! I think I will go to ....Alaska!Last edited by avoncallingu; Thu, Apr 19th, 2018 at 11:36 PM.
