I slept for 12 straight hours! I just woke up, so that's going to make for a very short day.

@avoncallingu, sorry to hear you're under the weather...how about going to a clinic today for a real diagnosis? If you have a fracture it helps to be aware of it. Perhaps after the service with your potential new minister? Sometimes life tries to nudge us to slow down....take care of this, ok? Weren't you to see a specialist for this weeks ago? Have you had that appt yet?

We're having big white puffy ugly snowflakes falling, so thank goodness it's NFL Sunday. I'm not tempted to go anywhere!

Hahaha...would not hold my breath, @walkonby ...the players have got to be going nuts over this! I can understand a women NFL coach, but wouldn't she require a little experience in coaching? Perhaps a female who's a university women's or men's coach?

Oh, totally agree, @GoJays ; I'm really enjoying this Lions' game! I mean..if my Pack is out of contention, they're my next best...or perhaps the Steelers....and yes, any weekend the skuzzy patriots aren't playing is a good weekend for football! Enjoy!

Ooooo...DH just brought home a bottle of Magnotta apple wine and it's low cal!!!

They just opened their first outlet here so he wanted to check it out....and so the holidays begin!! Hahaha!

I know Condoleeza Rice is a great golfer. She was the one to force Augusta to open it's course to women, but football? Who knows what she does in her spare time! @Lynn49 , I think you would make a good coach! You know all about the game!

Well, I went to the walk-in clinic associated with my dr. The dr. There said no gout, but the new orthotics I have, combined with the boots I started wearing a week ago, caused compression on my foot and inflamed the tendons of my foot. So, no wearing those boots. I just got them new to go to Alaska last spring! She said to go back to the podiatrist that made the orthotics and see what he suggests. Perhaps specially made shoes. ( And you can bet they won't be Cinderella slippers!)

So RICE. Rest -stay off my feet
Ice
Compression
Elevation

So that's BRAT for the tummy and RICE for the feet. I'd better not get them mixed up and put bananas and applesauce on my feet.

Well, I have a bone density test tomorrow. So I will give the podiatrist a call too.

My BrotherB seems to have come down with the flu. Not going near him!

I have to make a call to our potential new minister -yippee! Hope she's still interested!

Happy that you went to the clinic, @avoncallingu and found out what the real problem is. Just keep off your feet and when resting, elevate it....the rest is too much work........relief is temporary doing all that stuff and you'll be on your feet trying to accomplish it all! I've never understood the compression bit, either...your boots and orthodics are squishing your foot sooooo...now you should compress it?! Doctors have a lot to learn....hahaha.

Hope you get some answers from your podiatrist.

I'm not entertaining any offers for any coaching positions, but I love it when I make the right calls here.....In the red zone? Throw to the right! Hahaha!

Good early morning! I hate to complain, as it seems that's all I do sometimes, but I was in terrible pain with my toe knuckle last night. Could NOT control the pain for a long time. I think that I either have broken a bone in my foot with wearing my boots, or perhaps it is gout. I had gout once before a long time ago.

Have to visit a potential minister's church this morning in a nearby town to see her preach. (I am not driving.) Then I will try to get to see a dr. Gosh, this old bod is sure yelling at me! I made a lovely beef stew on Thursday and have had it for 3 consecutive days. Perhaps that is the trigger, if it's gout.

Cabby, I may be joining you with the no-beef diet!

Got to get a certain girlie out.
