Spring training? Yes, it's very close. I get daily updates from DD regarding that, but it seems so far away when the weather is terrible like today. The weekend is almost here though, bringing above zero temperatures.. and rain too!! Waiting somewhat patiently....
Glad to hear that everyone that has checked in is ok. I was out for ten minutes today and with double gloves I thought my fingers were going to fall off. I still don't know why I live here, there are so many warmer options.

Hope you are staying indoors during these bitter temps. A big cuddle and hello to Jake!!
I dropped into Giant Tiger to pick up my FREE b'day Apple pie ( decent sized one too....750 grams ) however, since I am still dating Dr. Poon I won't have any but my guys will sure enjoy it.
To make up for that I treated myself to a new pair of suede fur lined boots ( also at GT ) and they are burgundy!!
So pretty!

Discovered a new cheese ( well I mean new to me! ) that has NO sodium, carbs or sugar.
It's called Bocconcini ( I bought a tub of the cocktail version ) A serving is 30 grams or 3 of these little balls....woo hoo!
Hmmm, maybe I should hold back on the " woo hoo " until I've tasted some eh? ha ha

So nice of the mailman to bring me 2 cheques and another b'day card today!!

I love bocconcini @walkonby , it's fantastic with tomatoes and balsamic. Oh sure, if you want to get fancy, why don't you chop up some basil, add some olive oil and name it something fancy like caprese salad? But I am of simple tastes

OOh, boy, @GoJays , that's how we serve it here...a bonconccini, grape tomato, basil leaf, repeat....but we drizzlie it with balsamic glaze which unfortunately isn't Poon-friendly...perhaps balsamic vinegar is?

We also serve it like that myself and younger DD love this cheese. My older DD think it’s tasteless
