Good morning!
@GoJays , absolutely agree with the raisin meme, but "how do you melt a tomato"???? Wow. Bet I can guess that poster's country and who he or she voted for!!
@flemeth , we've waited far too long to open our windows, haven't we? One of Spring's blessings!
I imagine some of you may have heard about the horrible stabbing in front of my Michaels yesterday. A suspected domestic dispute...some idiot stabbed a woman and child, tried to do himself in, unfortunately didn't succeed...all in hospital as of yesterday, but I haven't heard anything this morning.
And a traffic accident with 3 fatalities near Nairn Centre, which is on our drive back and forth to the island. The speed slows there, so no idea how it happened, yet.
Ok! You all have a wonderful day, hope its sunny where you are, too!Last edited by Lynn49; Tue, Jun 4th, 2019 at 08:15 AM.

That parrot is cool, but it would drive me nuts!
Good morning!
Slept in this morning ( awesome!), but that meant I wasn't my husband's alarm clock - I am usually up and wake him at six, but he woke up after seven and I woke up at half past... He starts work at eight.
But he came back here after nine - he was working not far away so he came to put on my stockings, what a sweetie.
Temp should be in low 20s today, yay! Still no rain... Last month we only got a tenth of normal precip.
Have a Fab day!
Happy Cheese Day!

weee! I fell head over heels for the parrot!! But then again I have a thing for birds.
I read back a bit and again I must tip my hat to you @cabmonk ! You started your successful weight loss/life changing journey all on your own with the DDP.... stuck through the plateaus, the cravings, even when you had to relocate!
Now here you are outdoors and hiking! ( btw, enjoy today's trail!! ) I mean never sell yourself short on the efforts all of that took.
I was unaware @Natalka that you had lost that much weight during all of your tribulations in and out of hospital. What an accomplishment that you are maintaining because I understand that is the real test, keeping it from finding its way back.
Congrats to both of you....
I had a sweet encounter on Monday at my Physio class. One of the gals who I work out with 3 days a week presented me with a neato new water bottle and said she got it for me because I have inspired her to start back up with the Dr. Poon diet again.
The workouts are good but any food not cooked at home can ruin all the efforts. It really touched me that I could have inspired her....here I was just sweating ( and cursing our trainer ) while joking around in every class.
Ya gotta have fun or what's the point??

Definitely thanks @walkonby I’m happy with my progress so far and I know you have been doing well too. Today I walked 8.4 miles or so the pacer app says lol. I thought I walked a bit further but it’s fine.
