Good morning to the usual suspects in here @danger_dan @flemeth and @Lynn49 , hoping you all have exciting things on the go today.
It has been a very lazy morning, didn't even get out of bed till after 8 a.m. Sheer madness for me.
I suppose I should start making that corned beef hash up that I was supposed to make the other day.
A fire truck with siren blaring just pulled up to a house on our street.
I pretended to go out to collect my bins but was really rubber necking.
Couldn't see much....hrmph....I am sure the grapevine will let us know soon enough.

G'day @GoJays , @danger_dan , @flemeth , @walkonby , hope I didn't miss anyone.

Slept in until 10:30 this morning, so that should make you feel better, Walks. No idea why, but I suspect the late games that we watch might be the cause. My dang right leg, the one I broke, has been painful lately and it makes it so hard to fall asleep, so I took a Gravol last night and BANG! Fell asleep and stayed there through the night.

I really haven't been as productive as I should be...no sewing, no crafting; I guess I used up my oomph before Christmas. I have a ton of projects in my head, but my motivation is severely lacking.

I haven't watched "Stranger Things", although our DD and my Hubby have. I had to just ask him if I watched it and he said, "No. You wouldn't like it." After 50 years he knows what I enjoy watching (birdies, etc, lol) and when it comes to whatever that show was about, he knows it might upset me. Delicate, doncha know...hahahaha!!! I can't even watch nature shows now because animals die or eat each other. Can't do it.
I loved the old Disney documentaries...all the animals lived to their old age. ALL of them!!

Now that we have BRITBOX my addictions include shows like Vera, Morse, of course the best one of all, Midsomer Murders, and some oldies like
Absolutely Fabulous and Are You Being Served when I need a half-hour giggle.

Enjoy this el nina winter..it's wonderful here this year, knock on wood.

Lol...Hubby just put on my Yacht Rock play list.... He's reading the book our DD gave him for Christmas: The Splended and the Vile by Erik Larson...Churchill. He's very much enjoying it.

Rats. Our first hospital-related covid case reported, involving a staff member. That staff member contracted the disease in the community.
I hope it doesn't spread to the rest of the staff and patients.
7 new cases, bringing our total from 8 to 67.

Good day everyone! checking in late as usual, too many other things to juggle. Had to get some x-rays done at the hospital for the doctor.
Nothing serious. I was surprised that the place was still hopping as I thought with Covid it would be more of a ghost town(last place I want to be but no choice). DD gave me a lift and we managed to squeeze in my daily walk before new restrictions coming in. BTW it still gets dark far too early and cloudy skies in the day don't help matters.Despite complaints,we're all blessed to live in Canada! Have a great evening my friends!
