So, @Skippy , quite enjoyed your post and particularly relevant in these times. I'm the one who often says I don't generally like people, but my family always call me out on that, teasing me that I'm the one to strike up conversations with strangers (at our campground) on our walks. So I guess what I mean is that I choose who to speak to...normal people. Not the ones who hate, the ignorant ones who follow the herd, the kool-aid drinkers, those who chose to be unkind. I don't feel any of us here fall into that category, and the ones I've met in real life have become lovely friends.

Like you, @HermanH , I've had women (surprisingly young ones also) come up to me and ask me if my hair colour is real or if I dye it this way, lol. It's white white, and takes on a platinum tone when I use purple shampoo to get rid of any beige from our environment. I'm guessing they want a bottle of stuff to get their beige hair this white. It does give us a lift, doesnt it! I try to reciprocate with others I come across, generally not on how they look because most don't look good, hahaha! I'll mention something about their well-behaved kids, or just strike up a conversation in general.

I'm the one who will intercept anyone with a dog and actually say, "Hi can I pet your dog?" And get a giggle from them because I sound like a 5-year old, lol! Bonus: i get to snuggle the dogs and get into conversations about where they're from, etc. I've met people from people from near and far and across the pond!

Long winded, but @Skippy , it's so nice of you to have provided the opportunity for a real conversation, an interaction here! Thank you for stopping to chat with those strangers in spite of your discomfort...we need more kindness in the world.

Ok! Off to do stuff! I need to rid ourselves of things that have memories, that I haven't been able to part with before now, but since our DD has chosen what she wants to keep, how do I go about this?! I know bank transfers are a thing, but it still seems too magical to me and I don't want people coming to my door...or at least I don't want to open my door! Pay-pal is an option...but again...it just feels weird!
I really DO have to figure this out. 😥

Great vibes here in the thread today! Good morning to all who've slipped in here to add to the pot of positivity!
I kept wee Frankie waiting this morning, i slept in until almost 9 a.m.
Heard him gently chirping and scrambled to get his day started. ( I gave him a few extra worms to say sorry I was late, lol. )

Not much on the actual schedule here for me today, but I will make time to view some of the new episodes of Season 6 of Lucifer that somehow was added to Netflix without my knowledge( hrmph! )
Then there is the afternoon ballgame, hoping Jays take this final game, they sure met their match during the 2-0 loss last night with the Rays pitcher. He was very good.

I may ponder what to make for a few meals ahead. Late last night I did the easy. Pulled a dozen of my cannelloni from the freezer to thaw, then sauced them up to bake. DH and DS had some, I passed as I had already enjoyed leftovers.
We did not escape the rainstorm either last night. T.V. signal was in and out ( as usual ) .

@GoJays , that carbon emissions post was so bang on! Hubby and I chatted about the tons of emissions by oil, coal, companies, the fire flares that dot (iirc) Nigeria...and I'm supposed to be put on a guilt trip about not tossing plastics? Yah. That works.

@Lynn49 it's as if someone thinks we cannot read headlines wrt oil, coal, etc and figure out WE are not the problem.

Pssst!! Jays won last night in case anyone is curious. Sadly both Boston and Yankees did as well, so no change in the standings today.
