absolute class and respect; we need more of that in our world and sports.

While not associated with sport, I was stopped by a lady with her son at Walmart. She commented on how she always saw me walking everywhere and that she had done the same and lost considerable weight. Unfortunately, she had gotten depressed and given up, thus regaining her weight. She also told me that her family felt isolated and had only moved to the area two years earlier.

I suggested that she should try walking again and that there would be plenty of people out and about, who are friendly and willing to chat. I told her that she was a good person who was willing to stop someone in the parking lot, just to share a kind word. More importantly, she was doing it in front of her son. She wasn't telling or lecturing him on how to be a good person. She was showing him what meant to live a good life, with deeds and not words. (And that's what I took from the actions of those two ball players. See, it was kinda related. )

Wow, that's a lot for her to share with a stranger for sure, poor muffin. It's so easy to get discouraged and give up so I hope you provided her with the courage to pick herself up and keep going. Now that would be another valuable lesson for her son.

Good morning!

Rain, rain, seems it came down in sheets through the night, but my PACKERS won, so that's the important thing!!

My cardiologist appt was cancelled because the vascular service gang still hasn't gotten back to me for my ultrasound on my legs, which I think is overkill because I dont think there's anything wrong with them lol! But I did email them, so time will tell.

Hubby will be on call today for Restore, which is scheduled to pick up a sofa set from the kids' home but its yucky out so we weren't going anywhere anyway. I hope they have a way of covering it up in this rain.

yep, we have the drizzle here as well. No biggie, I only had 4 short errands today, and all were within a HR away from each other. Speaking of Home Runs......it was great that both Semien and Teoscar each got one last night but the Jays curse of playing in Tropicana Field is still ongoing.
I won't even mention that horrible call made by the ump on Valera! A 4th clear ball called a strike?? whatever.

Frankie sure LOVES watermelon! That was one of the errands I was on. Went out of my way to get another green ball of sweetness from NF just because we are all out now. Can't have Frankie running his jail cell mug up against the bars screaming for more.

Temp has been decent, low 20s - but Saturday we had 32! No rain, though.

For some bizarre reason, Mad Max spent election night here in Saskatoon. Many hundreds of people at the gathering, few masks - both against our Covid regs.
Shame on them all. Sad that parents put their kids at risk, too.
