Good day my friends! It was starting to snow so I passed on going out for a walk and decided instead to clean up.Me thinks the walk would’ve been the better idea according to my body after the fact!

sleep, glorious sleep! I got me some more last night, beautiful uninterrupted zzz's. Feeling fresh as a daisy now with energy to dig out the 2 small corned beef roasts at the bottom of the freezer. I am thinking instead of the usual boiled cabbage to go with, I'll cut up and roast it like the way cauliflower is done. Looking forward to the Habs and Leafs tonight!!

G’day, @walkonby ! Have you ever made colcannon? It’s delicious and of course perfect with corned beef!

NFL playoff games today which is exactly what we need today! Dinner was a success last evening, such great company, but the leg cramps that got me up twice, which I got rid of by shlepping into the kitchen to drink a couple ounces of salt water, and self-inflicted tummy problems sure didn’t contribute to much sleep at all.

So far I’ve had my morning tea, took out the garbage and food waste, did a bank deposit and am drinking my Starbucks. It’s a good day .

About 4 hours ago DH and I decided we'd go to the theatre and sit for THREE hours to watch the new Avatar movie. Well between that decision and now
Mother Nature must have overheard our plans because she's been dumping the white stuff fast and furious! Hamlet is not fazed at all by it.






DH had to catch a short nap before we leave so he's not even aware of the weather update.
Figures too as we had planned on using the free admission coupons from a booklet were gifted at Christmas. What is that about the best laid plans?

Oh and @Lynn49 I had to look up what colcannon was and it's funny but our 2 sides at dinner last night with the corned beef were Hassle back spuds and roasted cabbage.
By the time both of them were mashed and dressed on our plates they very easily could have been a version of the cabbage/mashed spud dish. All buttery and so good!

@walkonby, how funny is that, suggesting a recipe that you "almost" cobbled together on your plate! Hahaha. Then again, with so many coincidences between us, why should I be surprised?! I've also had whipped potatoes with slivered lettuce mixed into them.
Interesting and quite nice!! I love calcannon. As for your snow, I saw the weather report this morning and it's just, just skimming under us up here.

This is THE boring time of the year.
It seems it's just a matter of sitting here waiting for Spring. And Easter. Then omgosh, ALL our family birthdays except mine which is after the summer of birthdays.

I imagine it's just time to recuperate, rest and be ready for glamping season!
