Congradulations to Newfies winning Brier 2017 curling tonight

Omg, @Newfiescreech, I had to leave when Canada tied the game, I was so upset, and when my DH called upatairs to me that NFLD won, he replayed it for me and honestly I would have been internally hemorrhaging had I been watching it live!

Good morning folks! Today will be shopping and movie day. It's supposed to rain. (Not complaining- don't need boots.) The weather is taking a bit of a dip in Temps here - my brother and his family won't get the spectacular Temps we have been getting but they are happy to be here.

Last night we showed up at the wrong restaurant - pulled up to a light to find the car in the other lane smoking profusely from under the hood and then stopped at a pharmacy to see fire trucks and emergency vehicles at the gas station across the street. Full moon!

All in all had a great supper with all of my family. Older nephew has arrived in Colombia and gets down to work in a village helping build a school today.

It was a very emotional day earlier as we visited the beach where dh and I got engaged. So many memories.

My brother was able to get right down to the water as they have a walking mat where he could use his walker. Then I helped him to the water and he walked out and "body surfed" back to shore. Checked off one of his personal goals- to swim in the Gulf of Mexico. I was like a nervous momma as he waded out into the surf. (He has cerebral palsy. ) He was so happy, it brought tears to my eyes.

Well, it was a "rest up" morning but we should get going.

I'm really feeling for all of you facing this snow. - honestly.

Aw, @avoncallingu , I can just "see" your brother beaming, when he was able to navigate to the water and surf. I can understand how emotional it was for you. I'm so, so happy that you're surrounded by loved ones and recalling old, beloved memories and creating new ones.

However, wrt your reference about feeling sorry for us up here freezing our butts off....."liar, liar, pants on fire!!"

yeah....I must agree, how bad do you really feel @avoncallingu for us and our pending snowstorm? ha ha . Just kidding!! We are the ones wishing we were there! I heard Red Sox and Blue Jays played today....is that where you are? Did you go to that game?

So much for that 'Snow Storm"...not even a single cm on the ground...it is very slowly coming down right now...so we'll see how that dusting cover my car this morning...
Dentist Appointment later this afternoon...annual checkup...and a filling...oh fun!

My feelings exactly @danger_dan when I pulled the blinds open to see what had fallen. Disappointed is not the word, ( because I did not want any snow ) but I had really expected to see tons out there from all the forecasting they did.
We have it falling softly here too, very teensy flakes, so we'll see what accumulates by the end of the day i guess.

Yup, that's some kind of convoluted thinking alright, @danger_dan ; really enjoyed his writting, even read a part to my DH...gouging is gouging whether it's the suits or the parkas doing it.
