How does a rent bidding war work?

Well, 2 people applied to rent the apartment and one said they would pay $250 more per month. But they only wanted a 6 month lease. I just withdrew and said, "Have at it." (Politely of course) because they wanted me to take possession on May 1 and at that point, my condo hadn't even been listed.

Oh Cabbie, I got one of those as a wedding present 33 years ago! I was thinking that if I move into an apartment with no insuite laundry that I would like to buy one again. Where did you find it? Also, where will you PUT it? You could put it in the hall and charge your neighbors to use it!

This one was from amazon.ca and had good reviews. A bit mixed though but overall mostly good. Yeah I have very little space but I have a shelf right next to my kitchen counter that right now has my garbage can. I could put garbage can on the floor lol. There are quite a few on amazon. I got the 2 day shipping because I signed up for free month trial of amazon prime. Lol I know my room is small, I usually say it's the size of a closet. DS's new restaurant has been open for a month now and I just hope that everything continues to run fairly smoothly. He is very type "A" but also needs to spend time w/ his fiancé and get some rest.

Did first load with the washing machine and it came out great. Only thing I did at first was my fitted sheet and mattress pad. I only put for 3 mins but you can do up to 15 mins. It came out smelling so nice. I did them one at a time in the spin thing and only did 2 mins to start and they came out so dry, i'd say 85% dry. Just hanging them up now till thurs but really probably only need 1 1/2 hours to fully dry. Only problem is if the landlord finds out I have it he might so no to it. I mentioned to someone what I was waiting for and they said another tenant had asked about a similar item in the past and landlord said no. Oh well I'll see what happens.
