Our dog Rufus ( in my avatar pic ) is older now ( soon to be 15 ) and came up lame
( front left paw ). That limp, shuffle walk that breaks your heart. Then he'd hold it up and tucked it under as he sat. So as DD scooped him up and cradled him ( showering him with hugs and kisses ) asking "what's wrong? "
He let her search for anything on the pad. Nothing.
Then after about 5 solid minutes of all this attention that Rufus was getting our other Shih Tzu ( Murphy ) comes down off the couch, walks over, stands right in front of DD and lifts his right paw up in a hanging limp position!
Where is someone with a camera when you need it??
We howled with laughter!!
Was he that smart to figure out faking a sore paw would get him the same cuddling attention?
THAT episode was pure joy for us, then the next day of course Rufus was prancing about again like a puppy!
Go figure?? Maybe HE was the original faker!!

This story will be embarrassing ( for me only ) BUT if we can't laugh at ourselves we might as well pull the plug.
I was a little " miffed " at the gal at the counter claiming they had NO decaf tea options at all?
What about those herbal ones? I asked. Nope, they are not decaf. she says, I heard her coworker backing her up.
But, I insist... I've gotten a decaf tea before, doesn't every location carry the same stuff?
They shrugged their shoulders.
So I looked for a more mature worker, maybe these " youngins " had no clue what I meant.
I asked her quietly off to the side....." hey could you maybe check those herbal teas for me, I was certain I'd bought a decaf very recently.
Then without checking she confirms they have NO decaf tea options.
Hrmph!!
But.... then I remembered and boldly said " I was just at Tims the other day and bought one and she smiled and said " yeah....this is McDonald's! "
