We took our kids out for our first family bike ride of 2021. We played at the park for a while, but we had to avoid some big puddles at the bottom of slides, etc. Pushing kids on swings can be good exercise.

This nice weather makes us want to be outside now On the weekend I parked downtown and went for a nice walk to the water and out on the dock and took some pictures.
Will get out everyday this week for a walk sun or no sun! Still need to bundle up as it is windy and cool.

Slowly working on better habits but I do truly believe what they say when it is said it takes 21 days to form a habit.
I am now consistently eating 3 meals a day, now I am working on adding in some snacks. Ideally I like to eat 5 small meals/snacks in a day works best for me.
I find I am struggling with the morning snack, I find we are busy in the morning by getting up early I make sure I have breakfast but usually I skip my snack and just have an early lunch. Where is in the afternoon if I have something I can snack on I will so now I like to keep cut up veggies in the fridge or things I can just grab.
It is a work in process but I am happy with where I am now.Last edited by SassyAshley; Mon, Mar 22nd, 2021 at 03:29 PM.

Beautiful day out. Will go for a walk downtown after I drop DS off at work.
Our salad was so good last night! I wonder if I can sneak black beans in DS's taco meat next time! Sure would make it stretch farther.

Good day! I brought all the fixings to work to make a toasted bacon sandwich for lunch
Housework/Dinner prep/laundry and some raking is on the agenda this evening. Will be moving around as soon as I get home from work.
I will prep a salad for my lunch tomorrow with BLSL chicken that I am cooking up tonight.
Will also make some protein balls for snack.

I’ve been enjoying more outside time with our kids. The hood weather helps with that. We’re currently on Easter break. We’re having a hard time finding times to play at the park because other people don’t wear their masks at the park. We have been going for bike rides, blowing bubbles in our yard, playing with balls, and a frisbee. My eating is still a bit hit and miss. My weight is stable, but higher than it was a year ago.
I’ll be teaching live again next week. My children’s school division suddenly went to online learning until April 26, so they’ll be home too. We implemented plan B. We already have a lady that came to our home for non-kindergarten days. She’ll now be here every work day. I’m still more tech savvy, but we’ll manage the online learning with limited devices. Ds was sent hom with learning packages on Thursday before the Easter break.Help me out with Swagbucks and we can both earn gift cards and PayPal money

I finished my teaching contract on June 30 and I’m now unemployed. I weigh more than I would like and some of my clothes don’t fit anymore, so I’m trying harder to make better choices now that I’m no longer at a desk job (teaching cyber school) all day.
The vegetable garden was getting watered, but weeding was neglected. I’ve tackled most of it over the last few days. I find gardening good for the mind and the body. We’ve also been taking the kids for bike rides when we think the parks won’t be busy. It still feels like 29 outside, but I still went for a bike ride after we got the kids to bed. 2.3km based on Google maps. I collected 3 cans and a bottle for SARCAN.
I’m also trying to make better food choices. Summer time makes it more affordable to keep a variety of fresh fruit in the house.
How are the rest of you?Last edited by Angela273; Sun, Jul 4th, 2021 at 11:00 PM.

We had supper a bit early. It was pick your leftovers. Then I took them all out for a bike ride. I let them rash take a turn picking our direction at the end of each block. We went about as far as I did last night, except we did a lot of random turns. I picked up 1 can for SARCAN.
