Prepped food yesterday. Made spinach and pepper egg cups. Didn't add cheese and they still taste good.
Dinner last night was chicken, mushrooms, broccoli and zucchini.
Tonight will be ceaser salad (with my homemade healthy dressing) and leftover chicken.
Grass needs cutting so that will be my workout tonight.

I started scraping our large back deck today. My arms already hurt. I’m sure I’ll be sore. I figure if I can work on scraping it in sections then it won’t be so bad to tackle the job. Re-staining the deck will definitely be a weekend job. I wanted to get it done last summer, but my emergency appendectomy changed a lot of plans last summer.

Although I roam the board quite often, there are threads bound to be missed and either I'm losing it or have not come across this one before. What a great idea and although started in 2017(as per the title)about half the posts are from this year too!
Excellent to continue onwards with this, especially sharing your ideas because you never know who can also benefit from them.
More importantly it encourages others too and we could all use more of that each day!Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.

funny ^^ @Skippy that you just found this thread.
We are nothing if not resilient, encouraging, understanding and resourceful.....sadly many of us can't resist cheesecake.
I've started, been gung ho enthusiastic, successful, relapsed, re-started...had more success followed by more failures.....on and off the wagon so many times I've lost count.
Yet I still post.....

Hi Skippy. Yes, I agree we could all use encouragement. I was at the top of my healthy BMI in 2017. In 2018 I have been experiencing some health problems and have gained about 15lbs, which I’m now attempting to lose again. I had a specialist appointment today, another on Saturday, and waiting for others to be scheduled. Just because I have been struggling, it does not mean that I will give up. We all hit bumps along the way, but we should continue to move forward and try again.

I'm still plugging away on my ddp yoga and eating vegan. Here are some of my simple vegan lunches. I will try to keep getting more adventurous as I go but simple is always good. Dinner is often homemade chickpea burgers or bean burgers(only the patty) and some veggies like broccoli, carrots, sweet potatoes etc. Hope everyone is doing well.

How are everyone doing? My weight has been staying pretty stable, but no real weight loss yet. I am enjoying my garden produce. I find it hard to have the ambition to cook it up when I am the only one who eats some of it, which means making extra meals. I have spaghetti squash, zucchini, tomstoes, and Swiss chard that I need to eat even if others won’t. Some of my spaghetti squash are ripening. I made home made freezer tomato sauce last week. Our freezer is mostly full of meat, so not too much room left in there.
I spent over 4hrs outside wothvour kids today. We just removed the training wheels off our son’s bike yesterday. It’s hard work to run along with him, helping him learn how to balance on his own.Last edited by Angela273; Mon, Aug 20th, 2018 at 10:00 PM.

I feel ya @Angela273 That was one reason I asked DH please DO NOT plant any swiss chard this year. I was the ONLY one harvesting ,stir frying it up and eating it last year. No one here ever said " Hey Mom, got anymore of that swiss chard? "
It is what it is....lol.
Wrt weight loss I am presently " off the wagon " again......waiting for my Fairy Godmother to come along and thrash me with her sceptor...or her wand...whichever one works.
Glad you are at least maintaining your own weight. With all you have to do in a day that is pretty darn good!

Hi All!
DS is back to school which means we are back to a routine. Thank the lord! I made him a healthy lunch and did the same for myself. Now that I don't have to pop home at lunch I can eat at my desk and then take my hour lunch break and go to the gym. I've missed it! I think I am done swimming for the year lol. It was chilly last time I went but I still went in.
Today's lunch is 2 boiled eggs, 1 piece of rye toast and sliced cucumbers with pepper. Afternoon snack is an apple with almond butter.

Went for a good walk last night. Enjoyed the fresh air and scenery. We went to a beautiful park close to home that surrounds the lake. It was really quiet since it was after 7pm.
Tonight will hit the treadmill at home since it is raining out.

I had trouble finding this thread. Someone sent me a rep from another thread, which let me go back to this thread from an old rep that I received. I'm still struggling with health problems, but my licensed home daycare is basically at capacity now which is great news financially...one less source of stress. Dh and I are hoping to go on a hot holiday in January, which will be the second one in my entire life! We are waiting to see if my sister will say yes, and come to our house to care for our children for the week. We will pay her. I trust her, which is why dh has gotten me on board with this trip. The money has been saved. I keep considering if the trip will give me an extra push to get into better shape. Our twins are 3yrs old and our son is 6yrs old. I don't have much of an excuse for the shape of my abdomen, except that twins stretch things out. I still weigh 15lbs less that I did on my wedding day.
I cooked up the rest of the swiss chard from my garden before we received unseasonably cold weather and snow to go with it. I have tomato sauce in the freezer, an entire crisper drawer full of fresh garden carrots, a 3 gallon bucket of red garden potatoes, about a dozen small red onions, and a large diaper box filled with spaghetti squash and a few butternut squash. I traded some veggies away for strawberry jam, raspberry jam, pickled beets, and salsa.
Our son and I pack his lunch each night. I've thought about packing a lunch for myself at that time, to make it easier for myself to eat healthy, without excuses when my home if busy with little children.
We played in the front yard yesterday afternoon, building things in the snow. Trying to make use of this weird weather.
I'm hoping to hear back from some of you. The journey continues.Help me out with Swagbucks and we can both earn gift cards and PayPal money

Went to the gym yesterday. Have plans to go tonight with a friend which will be great to catch up.
Tomorrow I will go on my lunch break since I am the only one out of 4 of us can make it to a planned class. Then I can decide if I want to go again in the evening for the class alone.
Taking chicken out of the freezer on my lunch so it can thaw and be cooked tonight for lunches the next few days.
