@walkonby What has stuck in terms of new foods or drinks over the year? I hear you on caffeinated bevvies--still sipping cola now and then but I have to let go. I find chilled flavoured bubbly water helps if the flavour seems natural and not too artificial.

Hi @Ciel
I've had success at avoiding the obvious forbidden beverages that are part of the Poon plan, like alcohol, regular soda pop and all dairy. However, I do still "struggle " with my coffee drinking.
The Tassimo brews I make throughout the day can vary, I don't always want a huge mug.
Lately I have enjoyed savouring the teensy sized cups like Long Espresso. I don't take sweetener in tea or coffee.
For foods, well I am still pretty disciplined about eating no bad carbs...I should NOT call them bad carbs, but I think most people know the ones I am referring to....rice, spuds, bread.....that sort of thing.
I DO love my lean protein, plenty of fish, chicken, turkey and beef.
This Oct 27th will be ONE whole year for me on the plan...whoopee!
My Coke Zero thing comes and goes....Poon plan says I can drink them so??
The flavoured carbonated spring waters I enjoy are by Blue Menu. They fit the diet perfect! No caffeine, sodium, sugar or calories.Last edited by walkonby; Thu, Sep 26th, 2019 at 11:28 PM.

helllloooo?? Anyone at the starting gate for their New Years resolution to drop pounds gained back?
I'll be there first....out of necessity.
Gaining is one thing, it is the darn health effects that have driven me nuts!
ALL my inflammatory conditions have returned. ( if it ends in " itis " I have it! ) I am walking and climbing stairs like an old lady again....not that there is any thing wrong with being an older gal, I just miss the spry and nimble feeling I had back in August.
Today was Day one, well my attempt at day one.
Wanted to cleanse first, which means no food period, just beverages.
So far it's been boring water and a single Tassimo brew.
Come join me ( anyone who is fed up! )

Good morning, fellow worriors, time to hear up for another battle. But like @flemeth , I'll start after this rich food has disappeared, in the new year.
Thank you for that distinction, @walkonby , and @coupongirl , I know what you mean about keeping up with grandkids. We have one grandson, 11 years old, so although there's no running after little ones, I want to stay healthy so that I can stick around to see him grow up.
Enjoy the day, everyone.
