Sorry for your loss.
I had a White's Tree Frog once and he was very vocal...but the cats kept letting him out of his aquarium at night. He'd always make a beeline to the bathroom and I'd find him sitting on the tap with a cat relaxing in the sink, fascinated.
One day he got out and he wasn't in the bathroom.
Months later I found a frog husk in my closet
