My kids are just learning to navigate the TV with Apple TV, the older two are 5 and 6. They can turn on the TV, but not navigate Netflix. We have to do that for them. My fav thing about Netflix is it times out after 3 episodes. So it helps to put a limit on the watching. My kids know when the limit is up, so is TV time. For 3 kid's programs it is about an hour.

There is a new link in the blog right now. It is a printable coupon from Wal-Mart to buy yogourt and get free granola bars.

I washed, folded, and put away two large loads of laundry today.

Tomorrow morning, 8:40 start, is the monthly Pre-K family engagement. This time it is at our local Art Gallery and Museum.

Since I had a nice win from casino last weekend I decided to finally treat myself. Wanted a new comforter. Looked at Sears. 5 pc set reg $179.99 on for $59.99. Free shipping over $100. found 2 pk pillows on for $19.99 (reg. $49.99) so bought 2 x 2pk and 1 pair of boxers for DS for $2.04 (clearance) Put on my Canadian Tire credit card and will go at lunch and put the $115 cash on it so it is a done deal! Pretty excited with my little "free" free shopping spree. Can't wait to toss some of the kids pillows!

We toured the art gallery and our son completed a nice painting. On the way home we stopped at DQ drive through for my free silly bar, from completing their survey from my last purchase. We shared the dilly bar when we got home. I feel exhausted, which happens with little ones, life, and stress. I'll need to go shopping today, or change supper plan because we are out of soya sauce. I'm thinking about pm'ing a variety of things at No Frills to get my 7,500pts wub $75. I rarely spend that much at No Frills in one trip. Can anyone tell me if the $75 is before or after coupons are applied? I'll check the PC Plus thread to see if I can find my answer.

edit: I found my answer. I earn 7,500pts before my coupons are applied. Sobeys does the same thing for its in store offers too. I recently learned the hard way that it does not work the same way with the paper Sobeys bonus Air Miles offer that are mailed out directly from Air Miles.

I think I'll wait to go shopping tomorrow, then I won't have to have all 3 kids with me.

I have a Hutterite chicken thawed, so I think I'll roast it or cook it in my instant pot. I've only used my instant pot once thus far, so I'm not very comfortable with it. I'll make a pan of hash brown casserole to go with it.

Have a great night away @Frugalbigmama

As for android boxes you absolutely need unlimited internet as well a fast enough speed for that things don't buffer all the time.

I have 2 rhubard cakes in the oven (9x13), I will leave 1 out for dessert and I will freeze the 2nd for later. MY dh & ds2 have very sweet teeth (haha) they pretty well go into blahs if they don't have something sweet (shrug).

Supper tonight is home fries & chicken tenders (easy).

Dh is off to SDM on his way home for milk, coffee and fingers crossed they have the Honey Bunches of Oats Apple & Cinnamon in stock.

The dealership is not co-operating with the reimbursement, I can't recall if I posted this or not. Anyways I have my statement with screenshots already for OMVIC. Do you know that OMVIC cannot make the dealership return $ which is awful and I don't see the point to them being involved.

Should OMVIC file in our favour, I will investigate the costs for small claims court.

The funny thing is the dealership was saying that they did everything legally, however, he then in another reply states exactly what I am saying, that they charged us improperly.....as he was trying to prove a point BUT must have lost his train of thought (haha).

Wishing everyone a fabulous long weekend, we have no plans as of yet but one never knows, we may engage in movie marathon w/ a treat or something along those lines. I would be more adventurous and be willing to skip town for a night and stay in a hotel afterall BIL is home so he could watch the dogs......need to give it more thought.

As you guys might remember, Estevan had record breaking snowfalls in December. It has been melting all week and it stayed above freezing last night, so I spent the last 1/2hr shovelling ice and snow off our driveway. I parked on the street today to help the driveway melt. I shoveler water from the sidewalk beside our house because I wasn't quite able to make a drainage path through the ice. I'll chip away at it again later. I threw the ice onto the dry street in front of our house, where it is melting nicely. I'm not the only person on my block that is doing this.

Baby girl fell to sleep in the van this morning, so I put her down for her nap. I think our two boys will be going down for their nap soon. I have the curtains open on our south facing windows, which is keeping the house lit and warm.

    @SassyAshley , @jasperandchar and @coupon girl -
Thank you very much for your well wishes for my son who broke his arm. It has been a week ago now and I remember just getting to the ER at this time to line up to register at the Triage.

This whole "breaking arm incident" has really stressed me out. It had played with my mood the whole week. I just couldn't get over the fact that he is going to be home for 2 weeks and will miss out on all those IBI (Intensive Behaviour Therapy) days that we had waited 4 YEARS to receive. I just can't let it go! DH is really trying to cheer me up by getting me McDonald's for breakfast, because I had no energy to cook. I woke up this morning feeling like a truck had just run over me. I am hoping that going out shopping without the kids tomorrow will help, plus the Spring like temperatures this long weekend.
@jasperandchar - Wishing you all the possible resolving energy to help with your car reimbursement.

Angela: like JadeAngel we use Kodi. DH set it up and we have just had it for a month so I am like grangers girls because I have no idea how to use it. But since it will save loads of money I am ok with it. We are leaving our cable/internet provider and going to tek savvy for internet and cancelling the basic cable that we had to keep in order to keep the internet costs down(crazy logic IMO).
I am pleased with my using up what we have challenge but today discovered I am down to 1 bottle of conditioner and 2 bottles of shampoo. I can tell you that has not happened since I started couponing over 5 years ago. I also sold something that has been posted for months with no action and DH sold a bike so a nice chunk of change to my crap sold fund. happy long weekend for those of us lucky enough to have family day on Monday.

I hope the weather is dry and pleasant on Monday because I do not like knowing the library is closed (except for two branches with Family Day programming) for the holiday. Being at home is fine when there's space to lounge but when two people keep occupying the living room, tv and coffee table, I want to be able to go out of the house for awhile to shake the closing in feeling off.

Ventured out to do a can walk (needed stamps) and could not get over all the coffee cups I kept seeing everywhere. With the mild weekend weather, this should be Earth Day cleanup weekend to give the birds a chance at a cleaner place rather than waiting until April when birds are nesting and breeding. Aside from the cans, I did not find loose change or bills. Got muddy so there was laundry to do after I purchased the stamp for today (will get the other one tomorrow when I mail my tax return-not needing slips as I had no income, investments or interest to declare).

Ice is melting on one side of roof. Surface snow is still glassy. Walkways have stayed cleared for a second day. Wishing the same conditions for the places in Canada that got snow by the drifts this week.

Today I feel a little better - still coughing up a lot of stuff which is odd for me as I don't smoke. Will do some returns as I need my credit card bill to be a bit lower. Have chicken from the freezer that I am defrosting and need to buy some basic groceries.....so glad to go out as I have been cooped up in the house since Wed and it is plus 7 today.
