PC Peanuts, 700 g jar for $0.49! (Loblaws, ON)

For those saying their store had it at $6.49, did you try price scanning?

As shown in the sign below from another display, the jars are on sale for $2 off. Maybe the regular price signage is still up in some stores?

At my Loblaws, the jars are on the shelves, the price tags show both the price $6.49 and 4000 PC points offer.

My store also scanned at $6.49 ... does anyone know if Zehrs price is cheaper than $6.49 -- BTW what's the deal on the gain flings? Thanks

Thank you potohgold! I wasn't going to go, since everyone said their store the peanuts were $6.49 etc. I needed a few things so glad I did!! My independent had them on sale for $4.00 then the 4000 points for each one, so free!! There was a big display indicating that they were free, no one was buying them!! It said six per purchase, then the others would be $6.49. I made 2 purchases and got 48,000 pts!! They had unsalted, lightly salted, honey roasted!! Thanks again,dropped some off for the food bank on my way out!! I guess veryone will be getting peanuts for the super bowl hahaha!!

Got some today, didn't know they are full taxed at 13%, so after the points, just pay for the taxes only, plus I got 3000pt wub $30 too!

Which one you scanned. At Loblaws (Markham) without salt and lightly seasoned varieties were 4.49 while honey roasted  were 6.49. So I only bought 7 lightly seasoned.

It was in Embrun, but the sale ended yesterday.

You're lucky they did that, my sale was a 4 day sale thurs to Sun.!

Well I'll be darned .... I had no idea, and just assumed ALL "snack food" got taxed at 13% HST.
I picked some up (6) at Zehrs on the weekend, even though they were $6.49. But with 4,000 store points, and 800 Digital Offer, it was better than the usual $3.98 common sale price.
So I just checked my receipt and did the tax calc, and tax was applied only to the 'Lightly Seasoned' and Honey Roasted.
The (3) Unsalted jars were not taxed, making the net cost only $1.69 for those, and $2.53 for the others. Not as good as you lucky folks who got em free or near-free, but definitely a worthwhile trip to Zehrs for me. btw, Best Before dates were mostly Nov, 2017.
