Your dad will be okay and I'll pray for his fast recovery. My grandfather had also undergone bypass surgery last January and I must say that he is okay again.

Thought I would update..
We spent today with him and he is in a normal recovery room. He can stand, walk a little, eat and drink normal foods, use his phone and grasp items and do everything normally motor-wise. They said they are confident he can be discharged home to our town in our Hospital in a few days (my mom works there and myself and my brother live there) and he can soon after return home. thank you so much to all of you that gave their thoughts to him. I truly believe a positive vibe can have positive results.

Great to hear that your dad may be able to be transferred back closer to you soon! Make sure you and the other caregivers are taking time to rest and care for themselves, too! Prayers for you all!

He is in our local Hospital now . I think this will help him want to get back to his old life or close to it knowing his own bed is a 5 minute drive. We go see him daily now, my mom, brother and I. My sister lives five hours out but she was there everyday for him in the big one. So she deserves a break. It's basically just mobility and physio. Little by little. BUT. He is out of the thick of it....which is good to remember. Thanks again for the well wishes.
