SDM and PC points program trade rumors?

Has anyone heard any rumours about the 2 programs being combined and allowing us to use points interchangeably?

There was talk of this a while ago and some Smart Cancukers were apparently able to do this, or at least one way (Think it was Optimum to PC, but can't be certain). But I'm not exactly sure, cause I've also heard that they may fold Optimum into PC Plus, so you use PC Plus at Shoppers. But again, not sure of anything certainly.

Last year, I had option to convert PC Plus points to Optimum or vice versa--one week wonder in early April 2016. Have not seen anything come through this month and we've at least a couple of threads debating program mergers. Not likely for now.

Noticed that Fortinos new flyer has several flyer points offers on frozen treats. Should help anyone buying them to bump up points for next redemption (and the weather is so warm).
