Your 2016 return was assessed and a refund of$$$$ was deposited directly into your bank account on April 27, 2017.

I recently changed my direct deposit info, it went through when I did that.

I am worried that maybe it got deposited into someone else's account, but I have also read that there have been delays.

I have tried to call CRA, but it's impossible to get through, should I wait?

It takes a few business days for the funds to clear at the bank. Unfortunately transfers of funds from banks/institutions (including Income Tax refunds) are not instantaneously.

When the CRA site said mine would be deposited on a specific date that is when it showed up.

Definitely check with your bank. I believe they can track the activities that takes place with your bank accounts. They were able to tell me if the funds were bounced back few years back for my student loans
