DD had her friend sleep over last night and later we will be dropping them off at the mall for a little shopping. They are going to the Apple Store as we think DD needs a new battery in her computer before going off to school. Then Energy Alberta is supposed to be coming by to do a free energy audit of our house and for free they will replace any thermostats, power bars, shower heads, light bulbs etc that are not energy efficient. Our house is only 16 years old and an energy saver package was included when we built it, so we may not get too much replaced but I figured it is worth doing and aything they do will hopefully save on the power bill.
I have physio again tonight and DH is going too as he now has a sore right leg as well-good grief!! I have heard of men getting sympathy labour pains but this is taking it a little too far!! As well I have more prolotherapy shots on Friday. I think we will be shelling out around $500 on physio x 2, prolotherapy and a new battery so definitely not a frugal week! Thank goodness for savings as DH does not work in the summer and I have been unable to work for 2 months with this injury-hoping I can get back to doing childcare in the fall as I do enjoy spending time with the little ones. Normally any $ I earn doing chidcare go in my travel fund but perhaps they will go into the physio fund now!

I gave away from lettuce and dill yesterday. We also donated a bunch of stuff to a fundraiser garage sale. I went to a free short program at the public library last night. S'more cupcakes, nice treat and a recipe to take home.
My daycare girl isn't here today. The smoke from the BC forest fires has been keeping it cooler outside until noon or later. Still no rain and watering the garden daily.
I'm supposed to meet a new daycare family this evening. She has a child that she would like to sign up for September. I messaged her this morning to confirm that the date and time still works for her. She said, "It's nice to find a well priced, organized day home." I'll take that compliment.Last edited by Angela273; Wed, Jul 19th, 2017 at 01:03 PM.

My daycare girl songbird be here tomorrow, family emergency. I'm sending prayers their way.
While dh Dh has been at work today I have washed all the dishes twice, washed the kitchen floor, sorted and put boy labeled boy clothes into bins, put the buns in the shed, spotted a different bin of girl clothes to check through for items that might fit now, have one load of laundry on, 2 more loads of laundry are sorted and waiting. I'm just taking a little break before we pick up in the living room and vacuum. I've been busy, so I think supper will be something simple tonight.
I'm taking baby girl with me to NF this evening to get a few deals. I'll post details later.Last edited by Angela273; Wed, Jul 19th, 2017 at 05:54 PM.

Hello all! We were suppose to spend the day at the beach but they were calling for a storm and the sky was gray so we decided to skip the beach. I still wanted to get DS out of the house and my honey was off today as well. So we went on a little road trip. 1st stop was Lock 45 in Port Seven. Watched the boats pass through the lock-free for them this year as part of Canada 150. Then we went up the Hwy to White Falls. Then drove through Bala. Then drove through Brace bridge. We stopped at Little Falls on the Green River in Washago . Then we went to Casino Rama for a free dinner with coupons and cashed in $20 in free comps. For 5 choc milk,4 apple juice, bag of brownies and an apple lol Free stuff the kids like. Now home to relax. Oh and we grabbed free coffee for the ride home. Nice frugal day that only cost a 1/4 tank of gas.

I have a signed daycare contract for that little boy to start in September. His mom is returning to school, so she doesn't require childcare for her 2 older children. It's nice to have that lined up.

After Baby girl got up this morning, I asked her if she wanted to go pee on the potty. She told me yes and went running to the bathroom. She sat for quite a while and went pee. I'm so proud of her. We haven't really started potty training yet, but we've been thinking about it.

Morning! Raining here now. Hoping it clears up since my plans for DS and I don't include rain. We were heading to a outside flea market then Wasaga Beach. Now may just take him to the other beach arcade. And treat him to lunch there. I have a pick up arranged for before we leave. Off to tidy the kitchen then to get ready to head out.
Have a great day everyone.

@Frugalbigmama Send some of that rain our way. BC could certainly use the rain too. It's been a drought here for the last month already. We are under a fire ban and I'm forced to water my vegetable garden daily. Our lawns are pretty yellow.
We spent time outside before it got too hot this morning. I picked weeds. We had garden peas and marble cheese for our morning snack. We're still trying to figure out where all the wasps are coming from. We think there is a wasp nest in a neighbour's yard. I plan on taking the kids outside to play in the water table late in the afternoon.
I managed to fold one big big load of laundry this morning. I need to treat and wash a load of the kids dirt/stained play clothes. I'm not picky, but I still don't want their clothes to look really dirty when they first get dressed.Help me out with Swagbucks and we can both earn gift cards and PayPal money

I just received my very first CO-OP equity cheque, $119.24. I've ever received one in the past because we didn't spend enough at the CO-OP in a year. Dh was allowed to fuel his work truck at a CO-OP location for half of last year, so that's what made the difference.
We received a small small amount of rain this afternoon. It's supposed to be a high of 30 tomorrow. We are loving our central air, it's great to be outside and then come in to cool off.Help me out with Swagbucks and we can both earn gift cards and PayPal money

Been awake since 430 am. May as well get up. Going to make oatmeal then make a coffee and take it to the park!
