may be a good idea to go to the bank machine today and print out transactions from your accounts
just in case there is an error when they change over

That's odd..I went on the pcfinancial.ca website just now and it said it was closed and re-directed me to simplii.ca website, then a few mins. later I went to try pcfinancial.ca again and it worked..maybe they're slowly closing it down. Does anyone know when we will receive our new bank cards? is it by the end of the month?

    • From Simplii FAQ
    • When will I receive my new Debit Card?
    • You will receive a new card between November 2017 and March 2018.

Oh sorry, I forgot to check the FAQ's thank you November-March holy moly that's a long time. I guess after we receive our new debit cards the old ones will be deactivated/not work anymore.

I still see the PC bank machines in some grocery stores.
Yesterday I saw a PC Financial employee in the in store bank. He said it was a phased closing time for the in store banks.

One thing I like about the new account is free eTransfers, PC Financial used to charge $1.50 a time!

I have used it a couple of times and not been charged. The $3.50 is to stop a transfer, this is from their website:

Fees We charge the following fees to Simplii Financial Senders and Simplii Financial Recipients: • To Simplii Financial Sender to stop payment on an Interac e-Transfer... $3.50

I think the free e transfer is part of the promo until February. We have made several so far with no charge. It would be nice it they are always free though.

Thanks, I didn't realize that it was for a limited time. I only use the account for groceries (although I get my salary paid in it ... but I eTransfer it out, minus the grocery money!)

Big display sign at the PC Financial Bank machine at lunch time today.

‘This machine will be changing soon. Fees may apply when using the new bank machine. You will be notified of any new fees.’

Then the PC Financial Bank machine took my Simplii card. Held it for forever and wouldn’t do anything. Worked last week. Had to cancel the transaction to get my card back.
    Yikes.
