Free ticket to return to CNE when you use their app

The CNE site says, "New this year, the CNE wants to offer you CNE specific deals and free admission to return to the fair, simply by downloading our App and walking around the grounds!" More info here: https://theex.com/footer/get-involved/cne-rewards-app

I don't have data on my phone, but I am wondering if I can make this work using wifi. There was free wifi in multiple locations at the CNE last year. I'll let you know how it goes.

Update: It worked! I made sure I passed a checkpoint on my way into the CNE and had it registered in the app. Then I left my data and bluetooth on the whole time I was there, and even though I wasn't connected to wifi the whole time, pretty much the whole length of time I was at the CNE was registered in the app.

Looking forward to checking out the cat show on Saturday.
