I was concerned that you may have had spring flooding in your area as the reason you were not posting on SC. I know you have had some family members pass away in recent years and each person was important in their way to you. Hugs to you for coming back from time to time to let us know. Wish I could really hug you!
I'm going to ask you about IAMS Perfect Portions food for cats-have you seen anyplace where single units of this product are sold in your area? My Walmart only has the multipack for sale, so I have not been able to use the FPC (which expires next month). I've searched pet store websites, gone to a few grocery stores and even Shoppers Drug mart-no luck.
Oh, why does McDo call combo meals in QC trios? My brother noticed that word use when he was getting a combo meal in QC two weeks ago.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

If there are heavy items that will need to be moved out, how far in advance will you have to book the Salvation Army truck to come to the house for pickup? I'd suggest you keep that in mind if the time is 3 weeks or more-to perhaps write a list of those items that need to go by truck and clear spaces around them.
Glad that you have two relatives willing to help you--you may need them to assist.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

I had a lady buy $22 in baby boy stuff this morning. I only posted a few winter items for sale today. I already have lots of pictures of other stuff posted for sale.
I took our little family tonour son's school to join his class for their Kindergarten teddy bear picnic. They had fun. We baked a chocolate zucchini cake as his item to share with his buddy at the picnic. Our twins are enough at the picnic to actually count as their lunch. I was proud of them. When we got home the first thing they both did was head for the potty and went pee. They're still in pull-ups, but I think they're doing great for having only started potty training 2wks ago.Help me out with Swagbucks and we can both earn gift cards and PayPal money

morning ,I'm back -I was called to toronto to help out my daughter -her hubby took Monday off work to watch Sebastian as he had 3 runny poos so daycare calls you to pick him up at noon on Monday so then daughter said he cant go back for 24 hours so hubby drove us there Monday night (frugal as we had supper at daughter's veggie sandwiches and roasted potatoes on Monday ,her homemade pizza on Tuesday night) not frugal as we used more gas -but it was nice to help her out I missed the sample source too -oh well
-I must say my daughter is a good clothing shopper she always buys end of season or really good specials from banana republic or gap-she had a lovely blue chiffon dress on yesterday with sandels and she has lost 15 pounds so kudos to her thru this hard last few months
-got a load going in wash this morning ,gonna just relax today

Happy Hump Day! Just looked over the upcoming sale flyers. Happy with the sales/deals. Stocking up on whole chickens (and I have PC pts ) See lots of deals for my Christmas dinner box I am making for someone in need. Will add a pasta dinner to it as well! Will pop out tomorrow to shop on the 1st day of the sale so I'm not fighting the crowds on Saturday.

Home Hardware's new flyer starts today and I see many paint specials listed plus a 50% off paint roller kit.
Turkey deals-I'm aware of at least three stores that weekend or week-long turkey pricing specials. Have to talk to Mom if she even wants a turkey.
Longos has their turkey kits order deadline ending on Monday Oct 2 at 5pm for a turkey and four sides. Can order in-store, by phone with credit card or through the online Grocery Gateway site for $99. Don't forget your Thank Your Rewards card number so you can your points for every $25 spent!
Has anyone spotted Sobey's turkey meal kit offer for this Thanksgiving? I don't recall seeing it in the last two flyers. Oh, wait, page 7 of the Ontario flyer for Sept.22-28 shows a Turkey or Porchetta kit for $89.99 with 20 bonus Air Miles. You have to add veggies and stuffing. Photo shows cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and gravy with the turkey.
There's a butternut squash in the house and I have plans tomorrow to make a sheet pan of roasted butternut squash with rosemary and garlic. Will admit my sweet tooth wants a couple of homebaked cookies or bars, so a baking supply list is needed. Have to see if I have Chipits on hand or use my last 50cent off coupon this week to get a bag.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Had dinner at the last local food truck event. Bought two different burgers and shared them with a friend. Perfect evening and we found seats in the shade. Glad I brought trays along. Wished I had brought a knife to help split food. Will remember for next time plus to buy some wet wipes for cleanup.
Found three cans this morning. Going to do more walks this week as I have to restore my Sept. bank fee (I took it out to help pay for dinner last night).2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Hitting a Food Truck event next year is on the summer list for sure! Road Trip! We went to Feast Fest but was disappointed with the choices. The men each got a huge meal of ribs and 1/2 chickens with fries and coleslaw at one buys truck which they enjoyed. My sister and DS got burger combos at another truck. I wanted something different but healthy. I got chicken and veggies on a pita lol. There was a truck that had mac and cheese with lobster/poutine with lobster etc. Sounded interesting but didn't take a chance on it.

@Frugalbigmama -I'd love to be in Guelph this weekend for the IHeartBeerFest as Cowbell Brewing is on the list of vendors. There are definitely some food truck offerings I'd love to try beyond burgers when I can. One food truck vendor did not have it on the truck menu but their regular location offers avocado fries. Something I want to try once-have no idea what batter or flavours get attached to the avocado.
Hamilton has some locations that have food trucks for lunch service. Best to check the truck website or verify with the street food Toronto app who is where on a given day. I used it on the desktop yesterday to see which trucks were going to be at the event yesterday. Definitely I've become a fan of the California burger by Curbside Express (great thick cut Yukon Gold fries but no seasonings) and the Chicken Pesto burger by Dora's Express.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

I had 3 baskets of clean clothes waiting. I folded and put them away today. My friend dropped off a garbage bag full of pants for me and I tried them on during nap time. Everything fit me! The cut of some pants cause me leg pain, so some pants I will return to her and others I have been told to donate. I was thrilled to get new jeans, dress pants, capris, etc. It's awesome! I'm going to bring her some chocolate zucchini cake tonight.
Tonight's supper will be waffles, breakfast sausage, and fruit.
I have a lady coming tonight to look through countless boxes of both baby boy and girl clothes. I have another pick-up tomorrow. I have been keeping track of the money I have been making.
I need to go grocery shopping tonight. I want to look at the newest Sobeys flyer first because I am expecting it to be another Blue Friday sale and 10% off sale.Last edited by Angela273; Wed, Sep 27th, 2017 at 05:42 PM.
