Coupgon Gone?!?!

I was a tad resentful that I couldn't enjoy the whole Coupgon thing because I own no cell phone ( can't do those carrots rewards either ). I wonder why it did not last? Sure sounds like many of you benefited from it.
Maybe something new will take its place soon.

The demise of the program may have come from its lack of 'link ability'. I have had many issues trying to use it at my local FreshCo. The building blocked a lot of cell phone coverage and often caused issues when trying to use the app. The cashiers were untrained on accepting the app coupons and often it caused delays while trying to get a coupon to show and then be accepted. Another store, Giant Tiger, discontinued accepting it about a month ago. An acquaintance who works in the 'office' there, said that the coupons did not always register as being used and because the app does not use direct bar code scanning, the store was often the 'loser' in the deal. No store wants to give a manufacturer discount if they will not be reimbursed.
I liked the savings, but not the hassles that went with it. Oh, well, just wait for the next big saving program....

Basically the same here. The Freshco nearest me isn't all that far, but it's in a direction I don't go very often. So, I had few opportunities to combine going there with visits to other stores, and the potential savings seldom if ever seemed worth going that far out of my way.

I'm so glad to see the back of this app and deleted it from my phone as soon as the "we regret to inform you..." notif popped up. Not only did the app not work 99% of the time, the cashiers at FreshCo and Giant Tiger were never trained on how to use this. So I had to teach them right there at the checkout whilst a line of moaners and grumblers grew behind me. Just...ugh! Good riddance!

No one forced you to use it. I will miss it. My FreshCo store was well versed in it.

This is what I have too. And I was just looking at the Longos offers around 3:30pm this afternoon

No notification for me so far.

This is a bummer. I used the app every week on at least the fresh offers.

I got this message too. I had an inkling that it might be going because save on Foods removed all their QR codes a week ago. To be honest I got so much grief in Save On when I used it (due to staff not knowing what to do with the offers) that it got to the point where it wasn't worth using it. The deals at Save On were never that good anyway.

Likely it was down so suddenly flyer were already in process to print

Most retail flyers are 'setup' three months in advance. Coupgon was an incredibly quick demise.
