Spend on the winter with ice and snow (sounds like a normal Atlantic Canada winter), save on the winter snow and temp -52 with windchill -60 (I’m a stay at home mom and I’m pretty sure school would be cancelled for those temperatures. As long as we have heat and electric we can stay in while dh get any groceries or other necessities.), shelve the winter with heavy rain (rain on ice/snow is extremely dangerous and the kids are walking students. Don’t want to slip/fall or worse have a car lose control and hit us)
