I am not even sure our store is open any more. Going to try to get there Thursday.

A coworker works P/T at the Sears in Halifax so I hope she'll keep me updated on the liquidation status and discounts. I don't really need anything, but doesn't hurt to have a look around. During the Target liquidation, I didn't buy anything.

once those liquidators take over those prices are going through the roof. best to stay away and let this place die off quietly. imagine trying to return an item. scary.

This is going to be like Target.. Everything will go to regular prices and offered a 10% discount and the sheeple will flock to the stores buying everything they possibly can

The one in our city is in a mall that still had an empty Target store. Apparently walmart is moving in next year, but all we will have in our main mall is a very small Bay store and a brand new Walmart (I loathe walmart)
Closest malls after that are 45 minutes away lol.
I'm screwed.

Our sears closed a few months ago but towards the end they had crazy prices. Like $1.00 for a pair of shoes or 10 dresses for $10 or things like that. I bought some stuff a couple months before they closed and I got jeans for $5.00 each and shoes for like $3.00. Everything added up to over 90% off regular prices.

Oh I know what you mean. I didn't go towards the very end of our store here. I just saw some of the pics of prices on facebook. I went a few months before they closed because I really needed clothes and thought I might as well check. Even got an $80 point zero sweater for $9.00. More and more has come out since then on the bonuses for management and how they were treating employee's.

I went today, the first day of liquidation, and everything was listed as 20% off at my local store. I wanted to use up my sears gift cards before they change their minds about them. The parking lot was unusually full and there were cashier lineups but nothing too off the charts. Will see how this plays out with the discounts and how picked over the store gets over the next few weeks/months.
