Might apply for a job for next years election. Can't apply until April though, I think I might have a chance to get the job since I've already worked for the Federal Government (Enumerator in the last census)

I've worked the past two federal elections and it's a decent gig.

I just worked the election days as a DRO.
I was in charge of my poll giving the ballots and receiving them to put in the box and then counting and verifying the results of my poll..
around 14 hours straight and worked out to $20 a hour.
Time goes by fast though and I find it interesting

Just applied to be a poll clerk for election day. Since the returning office would be hard to get to after polls close on June 7, I am willing to consider a poll location in the Hamilton West (lower city area) because transit access is better to the returning office.

If I were to be assigned a poll location in my town, my transit option leaves at about 9:40pm on Wilson St. W. Not too good.

Congrats. Maybe they will pay for a taxi for you to go home. Some employers do that.
Or may be an Uber could take you home.

Did not get a bite but there are many that will be working tomorrow at the election polls! Pack lunches and snacks and beverages tonight. You will need them!
