We spent Saturday morning at the walk-in clinic, then another hour getting the prescriptions filled and paid for. Dh, our oldest son, and I all have different illnesses and prescriptions. Our twins weren’t sick enough to get a prescription, so I may need to take them to the ER this week. I’ve been up with them for the last 1/2hr and they didn’t go to sleep until just after 11pm. My ear/sinus issue still isn’t resolved. I have an appointment booked with my GP on Dec 8, which was the soonest that I could get in to see him. The doctor yesterday gave me a strong antibiotic and ear drops. This is my 5th antibiotic in the last month. If this one doesn’t work, then they might finally do a sinus x-ray. I may also need to see a specialist and get my ear drained. I’ve never had issues with my ear/sinus like this. I’m concerned, but hoping that this 3rd generation antibiotic does the trick.

Happy Monday! Wish I took the day off today lol.

Have lots to do this week. Need to clean out the spare room finally and set up the new to us tv my sister and BIL gave us! So happy about that. Came with the wall mount so we need to put it up this week then the youngest can move all his gaming stuff from the family room! And I can't wait to start sorting and wrapping Christmas gifts. The tree needs to go up too still!

I find it can be slow this time of year unless you are selling new items. I need to get posting too! My Summer 2018 envelope needs some money!!

My aunt had her second surgery this morning. She sent out a text update this afternoon. The surgery went well and there was no obvious cancer re-growth.

I received my $20.50 cheque from CO51 today.

@cath007 -not able to assist on the coupon/gift card trade as I have not done those as yet on Smart Canucks. Do love your gift idea for your father!
@Angela _273 -it's wonderful that your aunt sent that update. It must have been a relief to get the news directly from her. Hope your medical visit to GP sorts out the sinus issue soon for you. Cannot imagine how much adjusting to each medicine you might have to do and STILL get through your day/to-do list.
@Coupon_girl -Cyber Monday is going to keep the Canada Post and delivery couriers busy this week!

Yesterday morning, the community paper bundle with FLYERS was sitting on the driveway. Not that I had any Black Friday aspirations but seeing the Shoppers Holiday book, I tore out the pages with the wrapping papers and the Joe Fresh knit accessories. I went to my store to get a 3roll pkg of wrap plus one single roll, so they will cover gift giving occasions that come along. Forgot to look for tape but did not see the matching gift tags. Also bought some groceries at Longos to stock up for the week. Washed and sliced my trio of bell peppers so they are ready to use or to snack on. The apple cider doughnut cake on Saturday night-did not have a Bundt pan so use a rectangular baking pan. Was wrong to bake it for 45min-should have taken it out soon but I am eating the vaguely doughnuty pieces anyway. The butter tart muffins-no raisins on hand so shredded coconut pinch-hit instead. The results taste like mini-coconut buns and I like them! Less effort than an actual coconut bun recipe I made last year.

Today, I went to the Shoppers at Upper James/Rymal and the store has the Joe Fresh red knit hats, fringed red scarves plus the hat in grey too. The other hat style in cables (two colours to choose) and the off-white mitts are in stock-cardboard display is in the magazine zone. Noticed the Rexall store at Upper Wentworth/Rymal has their own dark blue cable knit hat with gold dots (printed on). Will have to see about getting a knit hat so I can choose not to use my hood unless the weather is stormy or wet. I find the hood comes a little low on my brow and impedes my vision when the drawstrings are drawn to keep the wind out.

Have my 2018 planner filled with notes on what I need to buy when tax credit amounts come in. Will need a new to me winter jacket and boots. My current coat is ok for now but has wear so I don't expect it to do more than this winter.

Value Village has its 30% off sweaters and cardigans today. I may be able to squeak in before closing to see if a navy item might be found.

A friend gave me a new banana bread recipe, so that will be made into muffins sometime tonight to have with tea, as I got a big bag of bananas for $1 from Walmart.

I actually managed to watch about 2/3s of the Grey Cup football game on AMI as we don't have TSN. Actually fascinating to watch plays on slippery snow. The half-time show was ok.

Managed to get some Xmas cards sent out on Friday for last mailing plus two on Saturday. Have a few more cards to do, so I got the 10% off stamps at Rexall today and replacement silk thread at Fabricland. My feet and heels are ready to strike due to all the walking done this weekend. But it's great to have supplies stocked up.

The Shoppers purchase yesterday used up two offers: 10x pts on Pepsi pop (I gave in and bought 1 6pk_ and 15x pts wus $20 or more. I just will wait a little bit to tell Mom how fast I spent the funds in 72h. She is being really attentive to my spending of late but as I get out and around, I feel able to get groceries and her Xmas cards (yes, she has to start on them) so she can do what she needs to without waiting on brother to feel like driving her. So far no major snow in the forecast.
But rain tomorrow! I have a date in the morning to replace some masking tape on the floor with fresh new tape to save my socks from ruin.

I did 2 SDM redemptions on the weekend. One was three video games and a few groceries. Which was nice to get that much of the gifts taken care of. Then Sunday I tried a different store and did a few gifts with a lot of grocery and food bank items. I think I am using my work anniversary points to get the boys big gifts to jeep the cost of Christmas managed. I am pretty sure the switch to pic plus will work better for us. In past years I would have had 5 redemptions and this year I just made it to two. I still have a mid level on my card that I may use for a set of headphones. I shoul have done it yesterday but was just not thinking.

I really didn’t feel like cooking, but I made supper anyway. Deconstructed egg rolls with rice on the side. After supper I folded three loads of laundry that I had started yesterday afternoon. The laundry is now caught up again. One daycare girl didn’t come today. I got the December daycare schedule from my new daycare girl. It looks like I’ll actually have a good break between Christmas and New Years this year. Our son will have 17 days off for Christmas break this year and I won’t have many daycare kids during that time, which will be great. I know that our children are currently 5 and 2yrs old, but I still get nastalgic. They are growing and changing so fast. It won’t be long and our son will be attending school 5 days a week. I keep reminding myself to try to take it all in.

Good Morning!! What a beautiful sunny WARM day it is here today. Doesn't matter that I didn't get to bed till very late last night
I was all on my lonesome last night. Everyone was busy. Didn't feel like cooking or doing housework. And I had $104 in slot play at the casino that expired at midnight last night so decided to take a drive. Got $20 in free pop/juice for the fridge with comps. $40 food voucher I used to bring home the teen pizza, onion rings and wings. I had free fish and salad
I won a payout and came home with a good chunk of money which I'm thrilled about. Putting a huge credit on my credit card and going to the town to pay my 1st quarterly installment of my house taxes for the new year! Will use the $90 in change that I collected as my spending money/groceries this week. It was worth the drive!

Now tonight I have major laundry to do. That is my number one tonight. Thinking I may splurge and grab the kids dinner
