I forgot to mention that I received a credit on my van’s package policy, $15.90. The company had not properly documented my hit-and run accident last year. I eventually got ahold of the right person and they didn’t even have a police file number connected to the claim. She got that added and the other department processed it. I was being charged extra due to the “at fault” accident, that was supposed to be a hit-and-run.

I was all on my lonesome last night. Everyone was busy. Didn't feel like cooking or doing housework. And I had $104 in slot play at the casino that expired at midnight last night so decided to take a drive. Got $20 in free pop/juice for the fridge with comps. $40 food voucher I used to bring home the teen pizza, onion rings and wings. I had free fish and salad
I won a payout and came home with a good chunk of money which I'm thrilled about. Putting a huge credit on my credit card and going to the town to pay my 1st quarterly installment of my house taxes for the new year! Will use the $90 in change that I collected as my spending money/groceries this week. It was worth the drive!

Now tonight I have major laundry to do. That is my number one tonight. Thinking I may splurge and grab the kids dinner
Now that is what a girl's night out ought to be: fun and not routine! Congrats on your winnings and comps!

Glad you got the credit. How are insured individuals to keep track of all the details if company employees are not processing claims properly? You are one of the board's "Ellen Roseman" advocations on SC!

Windy and warm in Hamilton-taking a chance on Ms. Sunshine and Mr. Wind actually drying a load of laundry on the line right now. Raked some leaves for the green bin. Next week's temps will be around 0C and the last bit of raking for the bin will have to be done in a week's time. Delighted that the mulched leaves are staying put where they landed.

Super moist muffins that looked like browned bran muffins last night (I used 4 bananas to see what would happen but I did cut back the 1 cup of sugar to 3/4cup)-had a little pool of butter under each muffin liner. Did not waste that sweet butter as I spooned it on some sliced grain bread purchased from the reduced bakery rack at Longo's.

Trying to get Mom to write the overseas Xmas cards today is like telling her I'm about to do dental work on her. I have four cards left to write so that they will be in the mail tomorrow.

Sewists on SC-take note of Simplicity's 8511 pattern-it's not the dresses but the sleeve variations that have me excited. However, when I looked at Joann's website for Niagara Falls, NY, the pattern is not one of the limited ones the store carries. Must be an online order only pattern. So if you are shopping in the US soon, see if you can purchase the lovely pattern and play with sleeves! Fabricland does not stock Simplicity patterns due to the price hike some time ago, thus I can only look but not touch.

It occurs to me to hold off on knit hat purchases until I confirm that I won't have pants luck in the stores. 'Tis the season for dark pants so I better browse online and start going into stores. Questing for navy regular waisted pants with pockets in rayon/polyester...round 2017.

Rexall's Holiday Gift Guide expires on Nov. 30. I noticed two automotive aids useful for drivers-a compact shovel plus a multi-tool.

@Ciel Wonderful day for hanging laundry out to dry!!!

Went to Dollar Tree, Walmart and No Frills on my lunch break from work. Spent $9.60 on some milk duds (stocking stuffer) Frozen colouring book with markers (My niece loves Frozen now) and a few other things. Only bought bananas at Walmart. Forgot coupons I wanted to bring to buy something and hoping for the overage to put towards other things so will try and go tonight maybe. Then spent $10.65 at No Frills on Ketchup, raspberries, tomatoes, Tea for Grandma!, halls (to have on hand when needed) and English muffins for breakfast sandwiches tomorrow and Thursday. Then I went to Subway and got a 6 inch steak and cheese sub for free for buying a $25 Subway gift card for a gift

    Afternoon all,

The house smells yummy making a recipe I haven't made in ages, we'll see what the kids think, I'm thinking they won't like which is why I haven't made it in ages but one nevers knows as the 17 years old taste buds have changed and he eats things that he never would have.

yesterday was my son's bday 17 (holy moly) where has the time gone, we got pizza hut and dq cake a nice treat and a night off for the cook (lol).

Starting to stress about Christmas as I'm really not prepared, I have the list but I'm mentally not there. The kids will be bringing in a few rubbermaids of Christmas decorations after school so perhaps that will get me in the mood. I think I will let dh do 1/2 the shopping for the kids this year but he tends to buy things he wants/likes so it's a little risky as I don't want disappointed teenagers.

    Wishing everyone a wonderful afternoon/evening.

Had a hard time getting motivated tonight. Guess I'm more tired then I thought I was. Kitchen is clean and dishwasher is washing. Laundry is on the go. Have to go make DS's bed with fresh sheets. Will keep at the laundry and fold in livingroom while watching tv. Dinner tomorrow night will be bacon and eggs since I have the big package I bought last Friday on the go. Will plan Thursday night's dinner and take out what we need.

Morning! Made DS and I BLT's for lunch today. I have a massage this afternoon so will eat at my desk. Hopefully the day goes by quickly!
Will continue with laundry tonight since I didn't get much done last night.

Checked out the upcoming sales. We don't need much but see that BLSL chicken is on so will grab a few trays. Will cook it all up and plan the meals over the next 2 weeks accordingly. So much you can do with chicken and our household likes it.

Youngest DS has requested tacos so that is on the menu next week for sure (thinking Tuesday) Will cook the meat up this weekend to make it a quick dinner.

My vehicle needs to be cleaned out badly. Tonight I will take my shopping bin and put everything in it then sit and sort through it and be done with it. A bag with tons of papers dumped all over so I really need to go through it before stuff is lost.

Saturday DS has a late afternoon game about 40 mins away. I will make sure to use the morning/early afternoon to get stuff done around the house. Then Sunday can be a fun day

Last night I made lazy man cabbage rolls and baked chocolate chip oatmeal squares in the afternoon. We have lots of leftovers, so that’s on the menu tonight.

I had after school kids yesterday. They will be here for the entire day on Monday, because it is a no school day. This means a little extra Daycare money in my pocket. It’s the end of the month, so it’s my week to get paid.

I did something unusual this morning. I weeded in my garden for about 10min while the kids were playing. The snow all melted on the weekend. It was +5 and lightly raining. The ground was still mostly frozen, but I did what I could. My hands got cold in my gardening gloves.

Ok next week I really need to get going on the "other extra things" (Christmas sorted and wrapped, Laundry room organized, Spare room organized, Start prepping bedroom for paint etc etc)

So to do this and have no excuses I need to meal plan this weekend and have all the laundry done and put away and give the house a good clean. Then I can start the other stuff.

I'm in the mode of using up what we have on hand for the most part and adding from the sales. So far the meals I will be making for sure:

Tacos (DS requested and both love them) Have beef, lettuce, peppers, 1 pack of wraps on hand (Need Wraps $1.99 FB sour cream)

Pulled pork- Have the pork and recipe to make the seasoning (will serve with fresh broccoli -FB sale and other side on hand)

Chicken- BLSL chicken breasts on sale at RCSS. Will grab a few trays and spice up and bake in oven on weekend. Will figure out tons of meals to use these up in the next 2 weeks (Quesidias for sure since I will have the wraps and other stuff on hand to make ) Chicken ceaser salad, Chicken ceaser salad wraps.

Thank you for letting me put my thoughts here

I debated going out in the back yard the other day and raking but then I would have had to deal with the leaves and I'm sure the leaf pick up is done till the Spring now so didn't want to store the bags in the garage lol. Yesterday we were at +15. It was a crazy nice day.
