i thought the offers were suppose to be getting better?! i have yet to get a shoppers specific offer.. i've shopped at shoppers multiple times a week since the plan roll out and still no shoppers specific offer.. less offers this week then last week (last week was 13, this week is 7) and all but 1 offer is crap to be honest! nothing i have ever bought! and most items that can only be purchased at the superstore!, i also got the 600pts on shoe laces... really?! when have i ever bought shoe laces at shoppers?!
at this rate i'm not going to go out of my way to buy from shoppersWhen life hands you Edward Cullen...throw him back and demand Eric Northman....

So I’m going to answer my own question -- I did, I did!
And yes it worked.
For anyone interested, I bought the following:
Rice cakes 3/$4
Blue Menu canned Pink Salmon 3 x $1.99
Clover Leaf Smoked Mussels 1 x 1.99
Total: $11.96 minus $1 coupon = $10.96
Earned: 4965 points: 165 base points, 800 product points on the rice cakes, 4000 points wus $10 or more on Candy or Snacks (not Food or Snacks).
(I didn’t buy eggs as planned because they’re on sale for the same price in the new IGA flyer and I will buy them during the AM promo this weekend.)
All the points showed up on the receipt but my balance did not update. When I got home and checked online, it was updated in the account.
I did call PCO CS in advance to ask if the coupon was status quo from the Optimum program re: what would qualify and was told yes.
Not looking to convince anyone that it works - just sharing what I was told and my experience

Woo hoo, I checked this morning and there is an extra one offer (on top of those given yesterday) and it's Shoppers 20x points for Milk!! I was also able to take 4 offers and use 'never show again' to get rid of them!

Ahahaha yep, 20x the milk was added for me as well so likely for most people. Sorry though, with no other spend offer I'd sooner buy milk from the gas station than ANY loblaws banner. Perhaps this week we'll see SDM offers added Saturday like we used to? Am I holding my breath? Um no, but it's a thought?

Lucky you two with the 20x milk. Still waiting here. Good offers for the Superstore but no big offers for Shoppers.

It's hard to draw even semi-solid conclusions from small samples, but fwiw, I bought milk on my account last week for the first time since late last year, and got the milk offer. Meanwhile, my wife's account also got it even though she hasn't bought milk since last year either.
I wonder if PCO pushed out more milk offers than usual this week in response to how often people have talked about missing it, not just here but on PCO's Facebook page, in other forums, etc.
