As for tape, Walmart's flyer shows three rolls with bonus roll of 3M tape (two varieties) for $3.97. I have not found bows in a bag that would suit any gift giving all year round and I'd prefer matte or satin bows, not foil ones.

Today is the second day of Value Village's 40% off glassware, dinnerware and linens sale. I checked out the glassware-saw some fruit nappies and stemware that looked promising. There are about 4 punch bowls with or without ladles or cups but I did not see footed trifle bowls. Did not check out the linens.

OK, off the soapbox and over to you, Smart Canucks! December is ready to roll out. I'm waiting for the appearance of the CIBC bank calendar soon.
My budget crashed...and burned. My credit card ran away with me on board for the last week and I'm flabbergasted at hoe it all added up. I'm pleased to say though I personally am done with Christmas shopping and mailed out my cards and packages to family. 2 sports trips contributed to the runaway cards. Plus I gave in to a want and got myself a 2 in 1 laptop that converts to a tablet. More pricey than just a tablet but more space and larger screen for my books.

Yesterday, for the first time, I made up a crockpot full of homemade yogurt-worked out well and used up some extra milk I got for free earlier in the week.

Industrious day today, I soaked beans to have on the ready. I measure and freeze them. Then I harvested the last of the kale, we have the last yard waste pick up for the year and so I wanted the garden cleared. Those 6 little plants that cost me 4.99 at Costco must have saved me and my friends several hundred dollars, I will be planted kale again next year. Now I am making my oatmeal for the week, I freeze it once cooked so I can grab and go. Now to get a walk in. .

Last night was dh’s work Christmas party. It was a potluck at someone’s house. 9 people participated in the Chinese gift exchange, dh’s work location is a relatively small facility. One person bought what she’d be happy taking home, as did Dh and I. Many of the other people said it was stuff they didn’t want. Dh and I ended up with the short end of that stick. Neither gift is worth 1/2 of what they are supposed to be worth. We each got a jar of home made jam and a small random item. One jar of jam looks like yucky juice and might be safest if thrown out. I wasn’t impressed. I’m glad I’m a smart shopper and purchased my name brand sweets with cash back offers and bonus Air Miles.

We took the kids shopping with us to get ideas for Christmas toys. We found a green lightsaber kit for $25, regular $40. It connects with the fancy ones he bought with his birthday money.

I had a $2 pickup today. I have two pickups arranged for tomorrow for $37. I’ve made $98 since our weekend trip at the end of October.

Our son had his first gymnastics showcase this morning. I went and made some short videos to show Dh when we got home. He did very well.

We put up our outdoor decorations last night and Friday night we did our tree.

I'm finding our pantry quit distressing this weekend. I love that someone else does most of the cooking but I finds it distressingly maddening that I know I purchased 4 ragu and cans of mushrooms and we had corn n peas n ground meat in the freezer but it's gone every time I go to use it. Even the triscuits I bought are gone! I talked to bf and we are going to reattempt a list on the inside of the door. Lasagna was planned I thought we had everything and the only thing ididnt have to buy was noodles. Ill be going through it this week to confirm what is good and what we need

I skipped the craft sale yesterday....decided the temptation needed to be avoided.
