I've seen some really nice ASUS laptops at staples. Save your pennies!
I received it on the first of December. Spent ages getting it just right and started enjoying it.
But On Wednesday morning I called and arranged a replacement because it won't turn on! Getting a Canadian number was frustrating Lenovo kept telling me to call Russia or Croatia.
I had gotten a super good deal on it...699 off on black friday and I'm super pleased with the size and weight. They're shipping the replacement before I send the 6 day old one back.
Mildly disappointed I have to wait again but I get to look forward to it all over.
The freezer goods... I'm junior cook.. resident chef (yes bf really is a chef) just forgets to replace things
We went to the movies last night. First time since last June.
I'm done Christmas shopping. Sent my cards out. The last of the stuff I've ordered needs to arrive but the big stuff is all here.
I sold a bag of clothes that are too big for me for 30 dollars today. So happy to have the laundry basket free!
Tomorrow i'm working for the toy drive.

I took our son out with me this evening. Our local Sobeys recently started offering a choice of snacks for kids, a banana, an apple, an orange, or a bakery cookie. Ds picked an apple. The pharmacy had a stack of bonus AM offers for pharmacy related items. I got my regular prescriptions put on the automatic refill program and earned 100AM.
I was flagged down to stop at customer service. No one has been able to locate the original note that was left at customer service, regarding my phone call. They are unwilling/unable to change the price, but I was credited 25AM.
We then headed across town to the CO-OP to use my $10 off fresh produce coupon from a CO-OP promo early in the fall. I actually found tiny hair elastics that I had been looking for all over town. They were sale priced at $4.xx, but scanned in at $6.xx, so I SCOPed them. I also picked up a block of cheese because we are nearly out. I still thought my total was high. I checked it over carefully at home and I was over charged $1.77 on broccoli crowns because the wrong produce code was used. I called the store and was told to write on the back of the receipt and they’ll credit my purchase, the next time I’m in. Our son also received some new small toys for free and a cookie from the bakery. He was talking about their tiny toy camer and he was able to get a new one...which the hadn’t had in several months.
Free produce: yellow onions, broccoli crowns, iceberg lettuce, long English cucumber, bag of apples.
Submitted the receipt to Caddle for 25c back.
edit: I forgot to post something regarding my Tuesday shopping trip at Sobeys. I received a coupon for a free rotisserie chicken because they had run out before their 8pm guarantee.Last edited by Angela273; Sat, Dec 9th, 2017 at 12:14 AM.

Can he volunteer at the local animal shelter when he has free time? It might give him reason to understand that one more cat means more food & expenses but he can give his attention/time to the shelter cats. Also, is there space for another cat? I read in a book that cat owners are to have one more litter box than the number of cats, so you'd need to have three litter boxes.
Or he could find a group that helps feral cats be fed during winter, a difficult time for them.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Can walk on way home last night in that cold wind: 80 cents. Then I went to Food Basics to buy a head of cauliflower, which was chopped and roasted soon after I got home. Then I ate my dinner quickly with Coke while waiting for the veggies/olives/dried apricots to be ready to eat.
Can walk this morning: 80 cents in containers. Sunny day but cold again. Random powder snow grains have been falling. Watched a DVD on the palace of Versailles. Glad I did not live in the time of that building's expansion. Workers must have lived and breathed projects while making them for the monarchs. Some stellar woodwork, parquet flooring and fabrics were seen. Mirror technology was a big deal in the 17th century-if you had the workers who knew how to make mirrors, you were seen as living well off.
On Wednesday night, I found a pastel busy print of a double comforter that said Miami/California/Hawaii to me (pink flamingos/stamps/theatre tickets-brand is City Chic). Cheery thing-$16.99. I bought it. Made a mistake not to fully dry it so I left the comforter in dryer overnight. That meant the polyester stuffing clumped on one side. However, I now have a warm bed cover and am getting used to be warm all the time. My 2/3 cup of baking soda added to the washing cycle clumped (even after the washing was done, I had bits of soda falling and also from the dryer) did not eliminate the fabric spray used on the item at the store. Going to be a long winter with that scent.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

@Angela 273 -wow, some fun shopping going on for you and the family. The customer service circus is disappointing. My local Sobeys changes the fruit on offer in produce for kids of shoppers. Don't know if there is a selection just that the first produce stands in dept. have a basket and sign. Last time I was there, bananas were available. Lucky DS with his freebies!
@saundyl -Lenovo must have contracted out their customer service centre. Was there a French language option? Usually francophone CSRs can manage some English as well. Glad you have a replacement laptop coming to you.
Speaking of pennies, I am 16 pennies short of a 50-cent roll (3 yr quest it seems). I'll have to save dollars for the Asus unit.
Great work on your presents and cards!2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

@Ciel The basket of fruit and samples of fruit is on a display right by the front door, which is a new addition to the store. Free choice of banana, orange, or apple. There is still the option to get a free cookie from the bakery.
Our son was the only child signed up for a Christmas gift/activity at the library, so I received a phone call this morning to tell me that it was cancelled.Help me out with Swagbucks and we can both earn gift cards and PayPal money
