A lot depends on what you're trying to accomplish and how much time and effort you're willing to put in. It's fairly easy to be a casual saver, but beyond that, how much you stand to gain depends on how much you're willing to do. The tips and info you can find here will help of course.

Other things can matter too, like where you live and which stores are in the area where you normally shop, which loyalty programs if any you belong to, which credit cards you have and use, whether tearpad coupons are available at any stores near you, etc.

I only pay attention to the weekly deals + coupon thread

And the Checkout 51 thread. Back when Rockco posted deals to match up with CO51 + coupon + store deal...that was awesome because it would take a regular priced 3.99 product down to free or 0.50
