Loblaws announced their buyout of Shoppers in Summer 2013 and by March 2014, the deal was completed. Gee, I thought it was Feb. 2015 for some reason.
My card arrived today 😀
My dad got his today.
All those who got their cards, did you give your real Date of Birth ? I am yet to apply for the card, but I don't really trust them with all my info.
I will give my real name & address , but not sure if I should/want to give them my real D.O.B. Too much identity theft nonsense these days :(
We did. Info is all entered on a secure page.
There are plenty of other ways out there where you may be susceptible to identity theft...
Has anyone in BC received it yet?
There's no way of knowing how likely or unlikely it is that they will actually check your DOB. My guess is quite unlikely, but this is just a guess. The risk is that if they do find out your info is incorrect, they will almost certainly have grounds to refuse your claim.
Received mine and husbands gift cards today. Sister and mom still waiting on theirs.

This status report is from southern New Brunswick...
So, I was bright and early on Day-1 to apply for both MY card... and my mother's card (different addresses, and households completely -- so there's no answers here about multiple cards to the same house... sorry. I just filled out the online form for her -- but FWIW, we live about 3km from each other, served by the same letter carrier)
In any event, My mother's card arrived today. Mine has yet to arrive.
And for what it's worth, the status on BOTH applications (by checking on the website) says the same thing "Your registration has been received by the Program Administrator."
So hers isn't updated to "processed" or "mailed" or no such progress has been indicated -- so don't go relying on the "Check your status" on the website. It apparently is meaningless.

However, now that she's got the card...
... it says she has to activate it before it can be used. (They sure got us jumping lot of hoops for this.)
The activation is online (or phone) and is painless and (seemingly) anonymous, as it only asked for information that was ALL on the card (16-digit #, date code, and CID) and nothing more. No names, no addresses, nothing. So, I'm not sure the point of activating it, to be honest.
It wouldn't prevent theft -- if someone stole it, they could activate it online by simply following the instructions right on the card itself, it needs no personal info.
If I claimed I didnt get mine, and if they're actually tracking these things, they could see if someone activated it or not -- but if someone stole it, and activated it, then what?
In any event, it's done. Now I'm going to buy a liquor store card with it and then turn it into beer, and drink my bread money.
(I'm kidding... I got a list from the school breakfast program as to what they need for groceries. Once I get my card too, I'll be buying them $50 worth of food to donate to them.)
All the adults in this house have receive their cards I answered all questions 100% honestly regarding the number of adults in the house etc
