I am thinking about trying this swagbuck thing but I'm not sure I understand it........you get points by using it as your search engine? Then you can redeem the points for prizes? I just want to make sure I understand it before I sign up......

You get points from searching and codes that are posted everyday. Then you tade in the points (called swagbucks) for prizes like amazon gift cards, merchandise or paypal money. Feel free to ask any questions here.

Yep, searching is one way to earn points, also there is a swagcode out everyday and it's worth 1sb usually, sometimes more 2-3sb. They add up over time and then you can redeem them for stuff in the swagstore, most people here get amazon gift cards.

I ordered 2 amazon.com GC by mistake and recently redeemed them for a textbook. The GCs covered the shipping cost of the item, and the text only cost me $14.80. The same text costs $30 in the amazaon.ca plus shipping. Even with my 2 GCs with the canadian site, it still costs me more. So I guess depends on what you're going to order.

Yes, you use it just like google. You can even put it up in the toolbar to make things easier. I generally get about 4-5SB's per day (including code) so they add up fairly quickly to get prizes. I always redeem for Amazon.ca GC's and then I can buy whatever I want with those.

You only get the first 100 that they get and that's only from their search wins. You don't get sb they get from codes.

Once the next posting day comes for the Amazon cards I should be at $160! That's counting me redeeming for one more before the 16th which shouldn't be a problem!! And I haven't reached the 5 max for the month yet (2 of the gc's were redeemed on Dec 31).
