Thinks about joining swagbucks. However, I would basically only earn SB by searching. I likely will not participate in lotteries, contests, time-limited promotions, facebook, etc.

How much do you earn just by searching? Is it worth it if I'm ONLY going to be using the search function and not participating in any of the "extras"? Thanks.

Bug - I mostly earn by searching. I have "no friend points". I keep an eye on this thread etc for when codes come out ... Im not on line much these days. I earn from searching ... 45 points about every 30 days ... enough for an Amazon.ca, I have 4 now, working on #5

I just search and catch the odd code on this board. Since November I have earned 2 x $25 Disney Gift Cards at 270 SB each. I have 160 SB for the third. So it is worth it.

I have 2 friends, but one is maxed out and the other does not do much.

So, it can be done :)

I don't have any friends (well, what do ya expect - I'm a spinster with a dog & a cat :P) & I always seem to miss the codes (I'm lucky if I get 25% of them). Having said that, I'm up to $50 in amazon gc's since Feb. I use SwagBucks to search for sites I go to anyway (SmartCanucks, email, etc) & average 2-4 Swagbucks per day (usually 1 SB in the morning, 1 at night, & often get 1 in the afternoon & 1 if I stay up late).

I figure it's free money, so I can buy something fun for Xmas. :)

I just won 1 SB for searching for my email provider. Has anyone else had to put in a passcode to get their winnings? It took me 4 tries to key in the right letters (kept telling me I was typing it in wrong). Is this a new security feature? Did I miss the memo? If I did, well, er, the dog, I mean cat ate it. :P

I guess this means someone's been trying to cheat the system. Grrr, now it's gonna be a pain for those of us who are honest. :sad:

Oh well, I'll just keep plugging along. I'm convinced my cat did something (I think he's still mad that I took him to the dog festival, even though everyone made a fuss over him). :lolsign:

Yep, captcha is annoying. Yesterday I thought it was because I wasn't logged in, but the 1 sb I got today I also had to enter a captcha code while logged in so that's not it.
