Main road driving speed thru a school or playground

Can't find a actual forum for those with driving question!
if anyone can provide a link - much appreciated

my question:
there is a lot of school (or playground) situated along Main busy road
i assumed if there is no 30Km (or 25Km) speed limit sign as you approached the school (or playground) - you keep your speed at 50Km

Depending where ya live I believe from dawn to dusk it’s 30km for a park here with a sign and for a school Monday to Friday unless the signs say otherwise it’s 30km 8:30am-5:30pm...Monday to Friday
